Alex seemed to glance around for a moment before looking back at Solly. "I think so. I doubt anyone else is on this island," he finally answered back before standing straight again. The last thing he wanted to do was compromise Solomon's secrets, yet as long as no one else was around, it should be fine, correct? Indeed.

Solly smiled and looked around herself before taking the wig off. She didn't want anyone to see and if she was smart she would have kept the wig on but then she hated it so much she needed to get it off. The itching faded as she let her hair out of the bun and put the hair tie around her wrist again. She ran her hand through her hair a couple of times to try and get rid of any knots quickly from having it tied up but gave up on neatening her hair, it was a lost cause but at least she didn't have an itching wig on anymore. "Better, I really don't like that thing." She put the wig in the bag she'd brought.

Alex couldn't help staring as Solly took her wig off. It was... amazing the sudden change just by one small thing... The dark haired man found his eyes averting probably out of some sort of natural habit or something of the like. However, as Solly began to talk again, Alex looked back. "You look a lot prettier without it," he answered back before really thinking about the context of pretty versus the reasoning behind wearing the wig in the first place. "I mean as like...." he tried but found that he had netted himself and was going to only hurt himself more on struggling with it. "You're very pretty in general, Solly," he finally corrected himself feeling a strange heat move to his cheeks for a moment. ASdijaascdasncjn He was in his thirties... why was it still so hard to just.....

Solly looked down as Alex called her pretty. Pretty. She never got compliments and she knew her cheeks were begnning to become a red colour. She needed to get better at not blushing, she didn't want Alex to see but then she knew he would even if she was looking down. She looked up slowly as the blush faded from her cheeks and saw Alex's face, for some reason it made her less scared of him seeing her. She saw a little colour on his cheeks which didn't make sense to her, why would he be blushing? "Um, thanks," she muttered. "You're..." she shook her head, she couldn't say it and she shouldn't say it. She should just stop worrying about this tiny, little crush she had, it was a distraction.

Alex blinked slowly at the sentence that Solomon had started but had not finished. "I'm what?" he asked raising an eyebrow and crossing his arms for the first time stepping on the island. There was a slight teasing manner in his voice, but he really wanted her to answer the question. He wanted to say it outright then and there, yet even then... Ugh... logistics logistics... If.. just... Alex found it was one rubix cube that he could never figure out and actually mentally hoped that he would never figure out...Solly.

Solly could say so many different things in that moment, it was weird and kind of nice. She couldn't remember what exactly she was planning to say, what the finishing of the sentence had originally meant to be but then it was so open that she could say almost anything. She had so many things that she wanted to say, things about him that made her like him but then what if it turned out bad, what if it was smarter not to say something like that. "You're..." she paused, "Good looking, smart, wonderful and..." she quickly put her hand over her mouth before she said anything else. Why had she just said that? She blushed a deep red and looked down again.

The mouth of Alexander Lyons dropped like a dumbbell. He hadn't even begun to expect that was what she was going to say. Ok... so he might have thought she was going to say something like that... or actually more along the lines of hoped yet with that said, Alex was unable to find a clear reaction that wouldn't involve staring blankly at Solomon Lance, his second in command, head of Sector 12 the legs and arms of his work force, and and... more than just that. He was quiet for a good thirty seconds as he tried to rearrange his mind from what he had be going to say to what he was needing to say now. How does one go about... It was very hard to just.... Ugh why couldn't this be simple and easy. In the past, he hadn't minded a bit of flirting here and there when no one was looking. Solly was always there, and he had simply always expected that, but now Alexander Lyons was beginning to understand what that really meant... to him of all people as well.
"I uhm...." Alex started but found himself at a complete loss of words. It was rare for him not to have already prepared something to be stated in all cases and places, yet here and now, he had not even begun to plan any sort of answer. He found his jaw shifting into a rather unnatural rather forced motion as he tried to make the words come out. Why had it suddenly just.. and why did he keep going back to the question of why? Why couldn't he just answer the damn thing that had been questioning his mind this entire time? Because he was a weak man. This was what Alexander Lyons decided. he was a weak man and that was why he was unable to answer the things Solly had said as well as the things that were now on his mind. It was hard to even begin to explain what he was trying to say, yet Alex still felt the determination... the will... the want to say the words that had suddenly and so sporadically come to mind.
"Solly.... you're amazing," he finally stated outright. Ugh... how did he fail so badly. That. That didn't even begin to cut it... that wasn't even the half of it was it? No. No it wasn't even close. Why did he think that such meaningless words as amazing or cool or anything of that childish nature would even begin to compare with what he was trying to say. And with that, Alexander Lyons realized that he was having a very dramatic mental monologue that even as he realized it, he could not stop it. He wanted to say more, but what were the right words? How was he supposed to infer what the words were when he had never even.... It was then that another thought hit him. How had he gone without ever dating? How had he managed to make it to his age without even being around girls on a daily basis? Well that was easy enough to explain given what he was handed in life, yet that didn't sit well enough with Alex now that he found himself caught in a pool of mixed feelings. No. He had to be calm about this. Yes? Yes. He was Alexander Lyons. He didn't get flustered this easily. He was supposed to be the stoic leader of the revolution against the supernatural that had been going on since the beginning of time. Yet was it even fair to deny himself something such as a woman? But... with Solly's circumstances. Well... who even cared about Solly's circumstances? Wait... he did care. He had to care because he... cared about Solly, and... he didn't want to see her hurt or lose her status becuase of his blunderings.
"And.... I think we should get back to hunting," the dark haired man found the words all but streaming from his lips. It was odd that the mind always seemed to go back to a basic subject in order to deal with the more complex ones. Yes, he would go back to hunting for now and drown out the thoughts that had suddenly crashed down on his cranium so quickly as to leave him in that moment so very vulnerable. However, the matters that had been set into his mind, the gears that were now churning in his cranium would not leave. No matter what he would do they would remain there for a long time after despite what Alexander Lyons wanted in himslelf.

Solly was happy that she hadn't exactly finished what she was going to say because the next three words that would have left her mouth would have just made things even worse. Alex was silent, she watched his expression, he seemed shocked but what she wanted to know she couldn't work out. What did he think of what she said? Was he happy? Sad? Angry? Sickened? She was just his friend, and his second in command and really she shouldn't ever be anything more because that could destroy so many things... She didn't want to cause trouble but she did like him and he was the only person she had ever felt like this about before. As a teen she had dated guys but then it hadn't been because she had liked them, it had always been because they had been cool and it had made her look good to be with them. That had been something from her partying days, before she had became a hunter and she kinda wished sometimes that she could go back to those days because it would be so simple compared to the situation she was in at this time.
He didn't know what to say. That was something that shocked her because he always seemed to have the right words, at least most of the time and she had thought he would have something to say in reply to what she had said, even if it was an action like walking away. She had kind of expected something like that because she had thought he would be smart enough to know that it wasn't a good idea for them to be together and it would be mucvh better if they stayed friends. Solly had so much trouble accepting that and if she had then she wouldn't have said what she had said. She stopped herself from sighing and just stopped thinking about this, she needed to wait and see what he would say or do because she was just going to make herself feel horrible if she kept on thinking.
She really didn't expect anything good to be said by Alex but he did, he said she was amazing. Not really the best compliment because it could in her opinion be easily something that could just be said from a friend and that is what she made herself believe, she wasn't going to get her hopes up because they would just be crushed, why should she believe anything else? His next words brought up a strong feeling of disapointment in her. She sighed loudly, yep, she shouldn't ever get her hopes up about her and Alex, they were never going to be anything but friends. "Mhm, hunting." She blinked away tears because why should she be crying over this? That was just her stupid emotions overreacting.

Alex blew it, and he knew it. However, there was nothing that he could find in his vocabulary or in his own frame of mind to be able to express what he wanted to say. It was just... annoying. No that was not the word to describe it. Annoying meant that one would have preferred to do something different and avoid the situation all together. He disliked the situation, yet there was something to it that he couldn't quite explain.
He wanted to shout out something yet had no idea what the words were, and there again, the shout become a whisper in his mind instead. Alexander Lyons found himself vaguely aware of the fact that he had started walking again. The only thing that seemed to come to his senses was the sound of grass crumpling underfoot as he walked. It echoed in his ears and seemed to somehow taunt him with things he couldn't begin to explain. It wasn't fair. Why couldn't he just explain it.....
Alex walked straight into a tree. Pwn. That was the word for it in that instant for the dark haired man had not been expecting it nor had he even relatively noticed the tree before he found himself sitting on his butt and staring at the trunk of the tree wondering what in the world had happened. Before any questions could be asked, Alex forced himself to stand and brushed off his clothes quickly. "I must have just...." he shook his head not wanting to use the world that had come to mind. Instead he settled for something a tad less out of context. "Not been paying attention."
Oh that didn't make sense at all, and even Alex despite his clouded mind knew this. It was out of his norm, and Alex knew it. Every detail was usually under his eye. Every thought and expression was categorized in Alex's mind, and not paying attention was the equivalent of not being Alex. The dark haired man sighed outwards and shook his head as though trying to clear it of whatever was in it.
Alex would have gone on to say more had not a sound caught his ears. The brown haired man instantly fell silent and found his mind overly clear. He was hunting. Yes.

A few tears made it out of Solly's eys and down her cheeks and she sniffled and sighed. Crying was such a babish thing and she shouldn't be acting anything like a baby. She couldn't seem to get herself to move forward off the sandy beach even though Allex was now walking towards the forest. She as so full of emotions and so close to bursting. She was very much the type of person the held in all of her pain and sorrow and she was going to burst eventually, it looked asif it was going to happen now which wasn't good. What would Alex think of her if her saw her having a breakdown? He would think of her as weak, the one thing she hated being thought of as but she knew she really was at least when it came to her emotions.
She saw through teary eyes as Alex walked straight into a tree. If she wasn't about to have a breakdown she would have laughed and thenasked if he was ok, but she couldn't get a laugh out or any words. The ony noise that came out of her mouth was a soft sob. The breakdown started from that and she didn't notice anything that was happening around her from that moment. She hadn't felt like this for so long, not since she'd had a breakdown after she had killed the last Solomon Lance. She had been stong for about ten years and all her emotion that she had kept in from those ten years was being let out in the tears she was crying. The only thing she thought that made sense as she cried was that she hoped Alex had went off hunting and that he wouldn't see her like this.

The sound was not what Alex had expected in the least. It had come from behind him and was rather soft in nature. It made his stomach twitch, and he couldn't even begin to explain where the rush of emotion that was overwhelming him in that moment was coming from. However, in a second afterwords, Alexander Lyons turned on his heels and froze staring directly at Solly. Something in him cracked. Was she.... crying..... No. Solly shouldn't cry... it was... It was beyond not allowed it was... it... he...he... he wanted to harm the person or thing that was making her cry, yet internally, Alex already knew that it was somehow him... "Solly..." he said rather quietly neither advancing from where he had stopped nor turning to continue on.

Solly had slid down and was now sitting on the sand, hugging her knees to her chest and her head down as she cried. She just heard Alex's voice say her name and she didn't know what she should do. One part of her wanted to look up, to see if he cared or if he was just disapointed in her weakness. She hated this feeling, this feeling of weakness and pain and knowing that Alex was watching her and not knowing what he is thinking about her crying. "Go away," she mumbled inbetween sobs. This was his fault but then it wasn't and she was so confused and every thought wasa being clouded by so many different emotions. This was all way too hard for her, this breakdown was something that she couldn't just push away, it wasn't a monster that she could kill, it was the storage part of her that she had created breaking into tiny pieces and all her feeling of anger, sorrow and hurt coming out. "Just go hunt or whatever," she added.

Alex stared and found a lump forming in his stomach. Taking a step forwards, the brown haired man stopped for a moment and stared. In another second, he took another step and then another and another. He... wanted to comfort her. He didn't care how at that point. It maimed him inside to have started this, and a part of him wasn't even sure how he had started it, but then again, did it even really matter? Solly was crying, and that was what was wrong at that point. He had to..had to fix it....Stepping closer, Alex finally kneed down in the sand in front of Solly and was quiet.
What was he supposed to do? How was he supposed to do it? Why was it all coming down on him? Alex couldn't answer these questions directly, yet something in him finally seemed to shove him forwards. Alexander Lyons moved forwards and hugged Solly around the shoulders first and then more into a full hug. "I don't... want to leave you, Solly...." Alex finally answered back quietly.

Solly could hear Alex's footsteps, she could just hear them and she could tell that he was walking towards her. She didn't want him around, she didn't want him seeing her like this though he had already seen her crying she didn't want him to continue watching her. She felt a shadow cool her skin from the sun that had been just peaking out between clouds, she wondered if it was clouds covering the sun again or is it was Alex, she hoped it was the first thing. Onbe part of her was kind of hoping that he would comfort her but she ignored that part of her which just happened to be her heart.
She looked up as she felt arms wrapping around her in a hug. She could just see that it was Alex through her tear blurred vision. She couldn't believe he was actually trying to comfort her. Why would he bother? It wasn't like he liked her, really liked her or anything. A fresh wave of tears started from that thought. His words didn't have the effect they should of had on her and she pushed him away and got out of his hug. "Why!? Why do you care? I'm just your second in command, its not like I'm anything special to you!" she almost growled the words and she stood up with shaky legs.
She walked onto the boat but didn't get far, she nearly fell and leaned against a wall to stop herself from getting hurt. Her legss were weak, it seemed like every part of her was weak right now and she wished that this had happened when she'd been alone. 'Why is this happening now?' she asked herself.

Alex was left shaken for a moment. He stood as she had and watched her walk away as though she were perfectly fine. "I care... because you're mine... Solly...." Alex said feeling his throat close around the words that he said. They were quiet words, and she probably hadn't heard him, yet he had stated them none the less. Why... had he said it in that way... Alex found himself suddenly very confused. He'd said 'mine'... as though... yes... well.. she was his second in command... yes that was what he had meant, correct? No... he was lying to himself, and that was one thing Alexander Lyons was fighting at that moment. He wasn't going to lie about this. He couldn't if... if he wanted to keep himself sane. Yes she was his second in command but wasn't that exactly the point? Suddenly Alex found himself shaking yet he had to get it out. Now. Right now.
"Solly," Alexander Lyons stated feeling a sudden defiance in his voice as he stated it louder. "I care because you're mine, because you're my second in command, because you're always by my side, because you know how to get into my head, because I can be normal around you, because you're beautiful, because you're so smart, because you have such a hard job but deal with it on a daily basis without complaint where as I couldn't even get through a day without you, and....and because you mean the world to me! You ask why I care, and I can't even fully answer you! There's too many reasons why, and and..." He broke off and fell into silence. Alex found his heart slamming against his rib cage. There was silence after that.
