Jack yawned and shook his head as he stretched and looked out the window of the elevator that was taking him downwards. Across a few yards was the portion of the medical center that had been exposed to fire and was being rebuilt extremely slowly. Shaking his head for a moment, Jack turned and walked out of the elevator. As he walked outwards. he bumped directly into someone. Stopping suddenly, Jack forced a smile. "Oh sorry," he said after a moment.

Rose was...well, not quite sure of what she was doing there. In her mindless attempt to clear her thoughts, she'd ended up walking aimlessly...until she bumped into some guy. "Ow. Try to see where you're going to, would you?"she asked angrily, pulling away her brown curls from her face.

Jack blinked for a moment somewhat stunned that someone had retaliated in such a way. After shaking his head a moment, the practiced doctor forced a light smile. "Sorry then," he answered back as lightly as possible while the back of his own mind had started a cat fight. "What are you doing in the medical center, anyways? You look healthy enough."

"Nothing,"she answered plainly. She held her gaze with intermitent indifference and a mistrusting expression. "I'm just walking. Or do I need an excuse to walk around?"she asked fiercely. Her brown eyes glared sharp daggers.

"Well it is a medical center," Jack answered back. "And usually those that come are sick you see." He kept his light facade well enough even against this girl's strange ferocity. "My name is Doctor Hearthacker or just Jack for shot. If you need anything, feel free to ask."

Rosa smiled slyly. "Well, my name is...."she hesitated, wondering if it would be safe to tell him her true name. "....My name's Nadia. Uhm....I don't think I need anything right now, but....okay."she barely smiled and walked away as fast as she could, lowering her gaze.

Jack watched for a moment and turned his head to one side considering the strange behavior. The it hit his nose what she was. What is a warlock doing here??? was the first thing that ran through Jack's mind. They can heal themselves..... After a moment, Jack let out a sigh. Could she have been the one that burned down the west half of the medical center? Starting to follow the girl that had named herself as Nadia.

Rosa had started to leave already, when she heard steps. She turned around and jumped back in surprise when she noticed Jack behind her. "WHOA! Hey! Go off and stalk someone else!!"she demanded startled.

"Wasn't it you that said everyone has the freedom to walk where they want?" Jack asked back somewhat amused. "This is a medical center, and I am not following you. I am going to another side of the building, and this is the way to get there." He crossed his arms before him and raised somewhat of an eyebrow.

Rose gave him the sharpest glare she could manage, a glare that made ice and fire dance in the center of her eyes. "I don't believe a word you're saying,"she said sharply, through gritted teeth.

Jack half smirked back. "Then what do you believe?" he asked back raising his arms up in a calm collective gesture and keeping his face composed beyond reason. She is very defensive... could she have really been the one who burned down the other side of the medical center?

She lowered her gaze, half looking out a window and half looking at the floor. "I believe nothing."she said quietly. Her eyes wandered around the whole place....her expression softened lightly, but not much.

"Ah," Jack answered back crossing his arms and shaking his head. "It is better than believeing something I guess," he answered back turning his head to one side and then the other. "Are you just a wanderer little miss Warlock?" Jack said the last part so quietly that all around them, no one heard a thing.

Rose stared at him in surprise. "How....I mean what......"she tried to make the question right, but it kept slipping away before she could manage it. "How do you know??"she hissed quietly, looking around nervously.

"Simple," Jack answered back. "I'm a toothy kind of person, and your blood sticks out as a sore thumb around all these other people." Jack answered back smiling and showing his elongated vampire fangs. "How else would I know?" A light laugh escaped Jack as he said this last part.
