This NPC board is made for people with already accepted characters to post info about NPCs, basically background but sometimes still important characters that people use in posts but don't want to make into full characters. These characters may range from family members (such as parents, siblings, etc) to close associates that you don't want to let others play (close friends or servants perhaps?) but want them to still more or less exist and have information known.
The rules are simple:
Follow all the rules outside of the board: Use common sense when posting here, obviously. Just like with characters, NPCs can be rejected if a staff member feels that they are too powerful or too sue/stu ish or something. These characters must be subjected to changes. We expect that since only accepted members can post here that you'll already have a feel for our rules and guidelines already by the time you start constructing NPCs. NPCs are less moderated because they don't go through an acceptance process, but that doesn't mean you can go flying off the handle. If we catch you abusing NPCs, we will PM you.
Don't flood the board: A basic rule of thumb is five NPCs to 1 full character maximum. You can go over that if absolutely necessary, but remember that these characters are related to your character in some form or fashion, and they are reoccurring people. If you just want to use a random school friend in one thread, you don't necessarily have to make an NPC profile for them. It's only when you know that these characters will be consistently appearing that it is suggested you give more info about them. It helps keep people organized with family characters and the like among other things.
Post with the character the NPC is closely related to: Mostly so that staff can keep track of whose NPC belongs to who, please post with the character account that relates. If you have multiple characters that relate to your NPC, it is asked that you make a small section at the bottom of your post and express who the character is related to and how.
A few other notes: NPCs do not affect character number stats. Basically this means that if you make a wolf NPC, don't expect the stats board to suddenly go up a number. NPCs are not full characters after all.
NPCs can have a face claim. But they don't have to. If you wish for them to have a FC, then you can reserve it or claim it just like if it was a full character. If you choose not to have a FC, then a detailed description of what the character looks like is highly encouraged.
That's all for now. Happy NPCing.
