2 Years after the destruction of Sunnydale, California
1 Year after Hell came to L.A. The fate of the Slayers is hanging in the balance, a new evil is emerging from the ashes of Los Angeles. The Scythe has been stolen and in the wrong hands, it could bring about the end of the Slayers. The only clue left to Buffy and the others is a note that reads: "Say hello to Angel for me - Gwen." Faith volunteers to go travel to L.A. to search for the Scythe and possibly recruit Angel to help the Slayers on their search for the mystical weapon. Angel has his own problems, most of L.A. is a wasteland and vampires had rallied together under Charles Gunn, who became a vampire during the Battle a year ago. The Circle of the Blackthorn is no longer a threat, but the Senior Partners send their liason, Eve, to propose a new deal to Angel in hopes of rebuilding L.A. With Spike and Illyria behind him, Angel accepts the deal, unknowing the consequences of his decision. A rocky alliance between Angel and the Slayers is about to begin, old wounds reopen and trust in hanging by a thread. CHAOS is INEVITABLE!
