Bailey ran through the forest barefoot, punching the trees as she whizzed past. Each tree she passed today was destined to have a big hole in the middle of it, if it didn't snap in half. She was pissed, but she couldn't recall what it was that had triggered it. She was angry, because she was angry. Everything was like that; just automatic without much thought. A tree came in her way, she dodged it quickly and pounced off another tree. A river came, she would just jump right over it. Sometimes when she was in a good mood she would just run through it. But today was not one of those days.
Being a Makulay lycan meant a lot of things. It meant she was sworn to secracy and bound by the moon curse. But one of the worst things about being a werewolf was the out of control emotions. It was wild. Bailey could be happy one minute and grouchy the next. Nobody should be near a lycan when they're angry, or they'll be toast.
Bailey's lips were scrunched together tightly as she came to the cliffs she was so familiar with. She did not even remember why she was angry. It was probably something petty, like the members of her pack feeling her emotions and getting intrusive. In fact, that was most likely the reason. But it didn't matter much. She was angry, and that's all she could think about.
The brown dust trailed behind the blur of Bailey running, and she backed up suddenly. She could smell somebody around, and human too. Feeling the need to take her frustration out on somebody, Bailey got into a crouch near the cliffs. She had been here long enough to know that the cliffs were visited occasionally by stupid humans. They were always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whoever it was, he or she would have a hole in their head in a few minutes.
The human had a backpack and looked to be hiking. She looked to be in her early forties, and her hair was tied back underneath her tan cap. Bailey nearly snickered to herself, despite her anger. Humans were so pathetic, so vulnerable that they just screamed 'kill me!'. Especially the old ones. Their lack of self defence and no protection was nearly emnating off them in waves.
Bailey rose from the crouch with a stereotyical evil grin on her face. What she was about to do was cruel, but she didn't give a damn about humans. They were pawns, useless and disposable. It didn't matter that she was about to kill one of them. There were billions more of them. This one would go missing like many others, and her body would never be found.
Bailey began to walk silently behind the unsespecting human. She was going to push her off the cliff for no reason other than she wanted to kill something.. somebody. A shape appeared in her peripheral vision but she ignored it. Her eyes were set on the human she was about to kill for no reason at all.
