Her dark brown hair is wavy and long, and she almost always keeps it down. She prefers darkwash jeans but she'll wear any kind. She doesn't like wearing sweats. Her shirts are simple yet classy - button up suit-shirts she usually finds in the men's department. She keeps the sleeves rolled up to her elbows to keep them clean. She wears little makeup - simply mascara and dark eyeliner. In the comfort of her own home, she takes off her shoes, which are (quite simply) running shoes, white or gray in colour. she has a difficult time connecting to other people her age (like, it's usually through their kids that she actually meets the parents)
emotional stuff - she doesn't do tears or shouting or smiles or anything so, in a way, she's heartless and bitter
Overall Personality: Alex has a difficult time connecting to other people her age, simply because she doesn't care to. It's not like she's completely evil and glares at everyone; she just doesn't go around smiling. She's never been good at expressing her emotions in a civilized, well-rounded way. So instead she paints her anger on the walls and floors and ceilings of her art studio, as well as on the actual paper she set up. She turns on some loud music and just sort of flings the paint around.
She works out every day, sometimes taking Eve with her. The small girl has friend at the gym and so she's entertained while Alex boxes and such. Despite Alex's smaller size, she's really strong. Nobody can get her mad, make her cry. She's strong physically but even stronger emotionally.
She's really good at listening to Eve. They have an amazing relationship together and they tell each other everything. Or, almost everything. Alex's familiarity with Eve has made it super easy to make relationships with younger children, especially when she volunteers at the school. She can be extremely tight-lipped with secrets and information, which makes her trustworthy to the kids. They know that if they tell her something in confidence, she won't tell anyone else. She's very protective over Eve.
In a way, Alex is docile. She's quick and eager to learn as much as she can - anywhere she can. She takes a few college classes every year, enrolls in self defense and fighting classes to stay up-to-date, and keeps her mind moving by enrolling in classes that she's never one before. In that way, she keeps her edge and her cool.
History InfoHistory: Alexandra Mary Newell was born and raised in England - various parts of it - September 3, 1989. She's the oldest of four children. Brighid was born August 14, Tasha was born November 8, and Jared was born March 1. Alex was always excited to have a new sibling. She helped raise them, learning from what her mother did. Alex was a curious child, always asking questions and, if no one could give her a satisfying answer, she would seek it out herself. She was adventurous and daring, never minding that she didn't have very many friends and she wasn't popular. She just wanted to do what she wanted to do, when she wanted to do it. She had honour roll grades through all of school, often taking part in sports and volunteer services. She married at age 17, to Darren Walters. He was a Protettore, and she joined the Protettores.
Eve was born the following year, May 27. Darren died months later, leaving Alex and Eve. Alex moved back in with her parents as she saved for her family. When Eve was two years old, Alex unsettled them again and left. She had no specific destination. She just wanted to get out and travel the world. That's still what they're doing today, Eve enjoying the change in landscapes. Alex is content with knowing that Eve is happy, and knowing that she's able to help others.

"It's so exciting, don't you think?" Lila said, spinning around with her arms thrown out. She stood just barely outside the shed, her eyes closed as she let the light drizzling rain soak into her red hair. She stopped suddenly and rushed inside, standing so close that Ivi drew back.
"Do you think I should change?"
The girls looked down at her long sleeved white shirt, the light gray tank top showing underneath; her torn jeans, always too long for her, were painted with splotches of mud; she was barefoot, as she often was; and the necklace she wore around her left wrist was sparkling. Without an answer, she began rummaging through the small bag she'd brought along with her. She pulled out an array of long sleeved shirts - all bright in color - and two extra pairs of jeans, one lighter and one darker than the pair she wore currently. She held the shirts up to her, one after the other, imagining a mirror in the makeshift shed she was happy to call home.
"What about this?" she asked, holding up the yellow shirt and the darkwash jeans. She twirled slightly, allowing the girls around the room to see her choice. She looked expectantly at Era, her gray-blue eyes sparkling as a smile flitted across her pink lips.
