Meg loves Anime and Manga and so has gotten into cosplay costumes. She likes the outdoors and like activities. She's almost normal, until she has to deal with other kids her age. She cannot stand to be with other kids for very long. She finds herself becoming depressed and anxious and tends to shy away and isolate herself.

Alanzo James Cisco was attending college in New York when he met Alice. Alanzo was normally very reserved. He was into his studies and not the party scene. He was a person of responsibility. He wanted to finish his education before he would allow himself to let things like girls and party life distract him. Being who he was, he was considered "Safe" by the girls in his classes, yet shunned by the guys because he was labeled a “boring” person since he did not drink or party or even show interest in girls in anything other than friendship. When someone needed the test notes or a study partner, they went to him. When they were in trouble or needed a shoulder to lean on, he was the "Go-to" guy.

That is, until Alice. She was in a few of his classes and she caught his eye the first day he saw her. No matter how hard he tried to keep his distance, it was like the fates were playing games. It seemed he ran into her everywhere on campus and she even started a part time job at his favorite pizza joint. She was into many of the same things he was and they had a lot in common so they became fast friends. Alanzo eventually gave up and popped the question and they started dating.

It was not long before they were at odds with each other. Alice walking in on him in his apartment to catch him in nothing but a towel and fresh out of the shower while a girl in one of his shirts and panties was passed out drunk in his bed did not go over well. No matter how much he insisted she was carried there unconscious by her friends, and was just “sleeping it off” because she couldn't go home like that, and nothing happened, and that he was going to use the couch. Alice could not look past what she saw with her own eyes. The girl blurting out “I love you, Al” in her sleep while they were in the middle of the argument sure didn't help. Alice broke it off and walked out while Al insisted he'd done nothing wrong and would not apologize for helping a friend.

A week would go by before Alanzo realized she was not going to see the error in her judgement and come apologize. He showed up at her apartment to find her not there, even though he knew she worked that night and should have returned. Alice showed up the next morning to Al asleep on the stoop to her door. She woke him up and told him to leave, but he insisted on apologizing. He also promised to distance himself from his friends. And agreed that those that depended on him were Just taking advantage. He nodded and agreed to get her to warm up to him. They got back together and he spent the night.

Weeks later he received word from his older sister who was living in Japan. She told him she'd received a promotion into management with executive privlidges and had secured him a high paying job in the field that he was studying, and that the company would take him immediately if he could get there in 48 hours before the position would be passed on to HR to be farmed to the locals. He would have a paid tuition to finish his degree in Japan, and he would be working in his field of choice at the same time. It was just too good to pass up. Alice asked him not to go, but Alanzo made his decision. He knew something like this would happen. It was why he'd avoided romantic relationships for all this time. He did not want anything to tie him down. He asked her to come with him, and she refused. They went their separate ways.

Nine months later Alanzo would receive a phone call from NY Child Protective Services. He found out he was a father and that Alice had passed while giving birth to his child. He was in shock. Why had she not told him? He would have renued his offer for her to come to Japan. He quickly took emergency leave and flew back to the states. No mention was made of Alice's family. This was strange, but he had no time to think about any of that. There was no way he could abandon this child. Alanzo arrived to find the baby alone. She'd had no visitors since her birth other than nurses and case workers and Al's heart broke to find that out. Where the hell were Alice's parents and family? Alanzo fell in love with the little bundle at first sight. She was beautiful. And she was his.

A twin was mentioned. One that had a different father. Alanzo was saddened to find out that Alice had been with another guy at the same time, but he did not dwell on it. Its not like they were engaged or anything. She was free to date other men if she wanted to. He was actually sad about not being able to met Megan's sister. She'd been whisked away by her father a few days before Al arrived. Unlike the other father, He left his contact information and made sure he updated it every time he moved. He wanted the twin to be able to find her sister if she ever came looking.

Al left for Japan a day later. He renewed his vow to concentrate on his studies and career, and to the raising of his precious daughter. He never told her about the existence of a twin.

Megan Rene Cisco's childhood was everything but average. Her saving grace was the live-in housekeeper that Alanzo hired upon returning to Japan. He had school and work that took up a lot of his time and he did not want his daughter to be neglected in any way. The older woman took a liking to Megan and treated her as she would a granddaughter. This was fortunate for Megan who seemed to struggle in growing up.

She was thought to be autistic, but she was very smart and the top of her classes. All of her teachers simply said she had trouble focusing and would always look to be lost in her own little world, yet she always scored perfectly in tests. Doctors could not explain her quirks and later simply put her in a high functioning Asperger's syndrome. She behaved like a normal little girl until she had to interact with other children. She would be warm and welcoming at first, but she would always end up alone. She looked to simply loose interest. She could be found staring out the window or outside staring out into the distance. When asked what she was doing, she never knew what to say. She'd always done much better in the company of adults. People would always say she was a sweetheart.

As she got older the problem became more apparent. She would choose to isolate herself rather than be social. She became what is referred to in japan as a borderline Otaku since she found her solace in gaming, Anime, and Manga. It was to be expected however, since her father Alanzo's job was at a software corporation that also made popular games. She would also disappear at times. The police were involved at first, but as the behavior continued, it became a normal thing. Alanzo always knew where to find her. She was always at the beach staring out into the horizon or on the roof of a few of her haunts. It was always West though.

A few months after her 10th birthday, Megan was finally told about the existence of a twin. It could no longer be kept from her since Alanzo had received a letter from the Children's protection agency from NY that her twin wanted to make contact. Megan looked to go into shock. She said nothing as Alanzo explained about her twin. She couldn't even look at him. Meg simply sat there looking lost to the world. She said nothing as she stood and walked away. She went up on the room and said nothing the whole day and into the next. No amount of coaxing would bring her down. And Al new better than to try to force her.

The next morning he awoke to noise coming from her room. When he knocked, no one answered. He let himself in and found Megan's room in disarray for the first time ever. She had packed suitcases at the door. Her only words were a tear chocked "When do we leave"?. Which broke his heart. He apologized again and got no response. He took the hint and started to talk about requesting time off and arranging something with her school and. Megan could only stare at him as tears fell. "Papa..." She whimpered. "Onegaishimasu. Watashi wa watashinojinsei o matte imashita..." (Daddy. Please, I've waited my whole life) She choked out, and he moved forward quickly and took her into his arms.
