Leonardo instinctively found himself taking a step back from both women after Kiana's words hit his ears. The words were spoken low, yet none in this new party save for Cliff was human enough to miss them. It had been a challenge, and even the man who refused to accent the more feral side of himself knew a few things about a supposed polar opposite race. Some tedious and humorous part of Leo found the words 'cat fight' coming to mind, but rationale kicked the back of Leon's mind. This would be much more than a cat fight if things got out of hand, and they were in public of all places to be. Brown eyes flickered to the younger werewolf and then to the vampire, and all too quickly Leonardo began analyzing what could be done to diffuse this.
He could possibly distract them both, somehow, maybe take the tension away by words. However, even Leo knew that instincts were harder to distract. His own were still on high alert, after all, and he was supposed to be the one to figure this out. What else could be done? Maybe make more note of the cleaning up process and hopefully distract this younger woman? Brown eyes took in Ki for a moment, and Leon found himself a little too sure that she would be the aggressor in this match up. Maybe if he just distracted her---... And in that moment paranoid jumped into Leon's bones, and he found himself fighting down another round of aggression boiling his blood. What was to say that this vampire would just leave? Another vampire had shot him after all... And he still didn't even know why. Anyone could get away with a dangerous smile or so Leon thought. What was to be done then?
In a moment, Leon found his eyes connecting with the vampires before she looked back to the younger werewolf, and something in Leon calmed. He would figure out how to diffuse this as long as everyone just stayed civil. Hah, like you did when it shot you? Leon mentally cringed again fighting down that thought that was creeping into him once more. As a ringer went off, Leon was brought back into full reality again. However, it wasn't Sara's that caught him so much as his own buzzing of a text message. Blinking, he fished the phone out of his pocket briefly and glanced down at it frowning before returning it to his pocket again.
Sara's voice brought Leon's eyes back up again, and he had to fight down a smirk. Yes, not everything was black and white, but ah he wished it would be sometimes. As Sara made to move passed Ki, Leon stepped sideways towards Ki and would reach out and snag her shoulder if she decided to try and stop the woman from going in. It would... be alright. Hah, didn't you think something similar when you walked into that restaurant? Leonardo blanched. Why was this eating at him so badly? Damn it, he was a Mattias; he was supposed to be better than this.

Kiana replied to the vampire's glare with one of her own. At least she knew that her words had been heard and she really did hope that they would be enough to get her to leave. She had to admit, there was a part of her that wanted a fight but it was a much smaller part than the part that was telling her that she really couldn't afford to lose her job. The boss is watching, Ki, get the vamp to go away and then start cleaning up. That shouldn't be too hard for you to do. It wasn't only her job that would be the problem though if a fight were to begin, there were so many humans around. A cat fight starting for no real obvious reason really wouldn't be the smartest idea, and it wouldn't look normal, knowing how strong both Ki and the vampire were, it could even end up a danger to the humans around. Still, the wolf in her really wanted to to fight, more like kill, the vampire.
She heard the phone ring and watched the vampire as she answered it. It was so easy to hear the person on the other end, she would have thought a vampire would have been smarter than that, it is possible to adjust the volume. Kiana had her volume down as low as possible so she could hear the person on the other side clearly but people around, more specifically other creatures around, wouldn't be able to listen in on her phone conversations. It wasn't like she was planning anything bad over the phone, she just didn't like the idea that other creatures could so easily hear the phone conversations. It seemed kind of wrong. Yet now that she could clearly hear the person on the other side of the vampire's phone, she didn't feel the need to walk away and give her privacy. She'd already gotten that it was a male and well, not a vampire from what they'd said as the vampire had answered the phone but she didn't get to hear anymore as the vampire walked away.
As the vampire ended the phone conversation, she turned to look at Kiana. At what she said then, Kiana curled her hands into fists and frowned. The comment had an offensive part to it but even if the vampire had meant to say it like that, she decided that it really wasn't worth getting overly angry about it. She uncurled her fists after a few moments and watched the vampire move away. She breathed deeply, the vampire was leaving and that's exactly what she wanted, it wouldn't do anyone good if she decided to snap in that moment. She picked up an apple that happened to be sitting in front of her, throwing it up and down in her hand a few times before looking back at the retreating vampire. It was tempting yet she kept hold of the apple and didn't lift her arm to throw it.

As the situation cooled down to the most it seemed it was going to, Leonardo mentally sighed. Good, that was good. Everything had turned out alright for the moment. As Kiana picked up an apple, Leon eyed it briefly before watching her throw it in range of herself. He sighed after a moment, at a loss for words in that moment. Once more dark brown eyes dropped downwards to assess the stature of his clothes, and Leon balked at them. Damn kids. Looking up again, he straightened. "I think I shall come by tomorrow and pick something up then," he stated after a moment turning as though he were about to walk off then and there. If Ki happened to say anything, he probably would turn around again and engage her in what little conversation there was to be had. However, at the moment, Leon wanted a shower and something hot to eat.
Cliff, meanwhile, blinked coming out of his daze before shaking his head and once more looking down at the fruits mentally frowning about how much had gone to waste. However, just as he looked up, the human found that Leon was already heading out and was quick to turn and was more than ready to follow after him when the time came. Despite himself, every few seconds, he looked back towards the woman that was walking away still unsure of just what had happened but wishing that he did.
