:: OVERALL PERSONALITY: Atticus comes off as clumsy, which is almost always the first impression she makes on others if in human form, which her parents insist on her using as much as possible to keep her identity a secret. She prefers her Dragon form overall, loving the feeling of flight to boring, plain strutting around like some poodle. Other than keeping being a dragon a secret, Atticus is quite open-though her years of living with only her parents leaves her lacking in showing her feelings very well which can make her angry with herself, then taking it out on others. Or she can be as annoying as a gnat to the people she chooses, though she doesn't always mean to be.
Atticus loves being a Dragon. She enjoys the power, history, and position in the "Chain Of Life" as her father calls it. Though her parents can't stress enough the dangers that come with being a mythical being, it goes right over her head most of the time. Whenever she has the chance, she sheds her human form and takes to the sky.
Everyone has their downsides though, and Atticus's happens to be her obsession with anything that reflects sunlight. One thing that can turn her opinion of another completely around is if they offer her something glittery. History! :: MOTHER: Sofia C. Tuck (Human Name) :: FATHER: Raphael A. Tuck (Human Name) :: SIBLINGS: :: SPOUSE: :: CHILDREN: :: PETS: Rogwink, a curious little marten who also has a love for all that glitters-his collection of knick knacks is nearly as large as his owner's.
:: HISTORY: Atticus was a sheltered child, due to her parents taking her and fleeing far off into the mountains where Man had yet to set foot the moment Hunters started appearing and hunting their kin as well as other creatures. Atticus wasn't even hatched, still in her gray-pink egg when they relocated.
Perhaps it was the sudden change in pressure, flying high up into the mountains so quickly, or maybe it was fact that the flight was rather bumpy, but Atticus has always had some trouble with her human legs since she had gained the ability to change forms. Even though she spent nearly thirteen years learning about her human body and how it worked, she could never quite figure out how to stay upright for more than five minutes.
Atticus grew up in the mountains, her two parents, Sofia and Raphael Tuck, acting as her teachers. She was taught how to control her temper (though, like her legs, she has not yet perfected this), how to stay in her human form for as long as needed, how to fly (which she picked up much quicker than walking), how to defend herself, how to use her slightly smaller frame to her advantage, and the like.
After a few centuries of living alone with her parents, though, Atticus became bored and lonely. She started daydreaming about the world around her, the possibilities of what she could accomplish if she ever left the mountains, and soon she grew tired of simply imagining what her life would be like, so she began pestering her parents to move out from the mountains back to civilization. Her parents, still fearing the looming threat of Hunters, tried to talk their daughter out of wanting to leave the safety of the mountains-and when that failed they went out as a last resort and brought back a little male marten to keep Atticus entertained and hopefully less lonely. The idea was successful, having a little friend around pacified Atticus's interest of the outside world-for about two months before she began questioning her parents once more. Finally, Sofia and Raphael Tuck gave in, seeing as their daughter becoming restless could put herself in more danger, so they packed up what little possessions they still owned and the three-ahem-four Tucks headed off for the English Countryside. :: ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE: Atticus growled deep in her throat before spitting out yet another mouthful of dirt. She grumbled to herself, irritation flaring as she slowly pulled herself back to her -clumsy- feet. Thank gosh nobody had been around to witness yet another "famous" tumble from none other than Atticus S. Tuck in her human form.
Like, honestly, how can anybody walk around like this? she grumped silently, brushing off her extremely worn looking jeans (which were actually brand new, but being so clumsy they didn't last long...). She scrunched up her nose in disdain at the very thought of being caught tripping over her too-big human form feet for what had to be the fiftieth time-today. See, Atticus just couldn't get a grasp on her human legs-metaphorically speaking, of course. She'd always preferred being in her dragon form to the silly, puny human frame.
"Take another trip, Arty?" a deep voice chuckled, causing Atticus to turn on her heel to face the owner of said voice. She huffed and crossed her arms in embarrassment, refusing to answer her father, who looked at her in amusement.
