She knew that once it started to get into the early afternoon she got twitchy and she some times found a fingernail a bit sharp or an arm a little too hairy. Really, it shouldn't be happening, not with her being seventeen and having been born a lycan. She should have had much better control over small things like that. Maybe it went with her some times daydreaming personality though, maybe if she couldn't control her thoughts when she needed to concentrate, then she was obviously not going to control the shift when she needed to.
As she tapped her foot against the smooth floor, she kept on a kind smile and waited for any customers. She was doing what she liked to call the sunset shift, she started at midday and finished at six. In the summer she would finish way before the sun set but in the winter it was pitch black by the time she left the fruit store. The idea of stepping out of the store into the pale light of the full moon made her nervous, what is she just shifted right there on the street? She should have tried to get out of the work shift.
Although she knew her watch didn't make a ticking noise, it felt like it did as it told her it was only flipping over to 4:30pm. Leaning forward against the counter, she strummed her fingers against it, her longer than usual nails making a sharp clicking tap. The smell in the air was an odd mix of all the fruit, she could separate the smells, work out where each fruit was in the store just by her smell which it was getting stronger. She wasn't the only one working at the store, James was standing at the other counter, his pimple covered face sticking out like a sore thumb as behind it was the green lettuce. Maybe he'd let her go early and not let anyone know about it, she wasn't sure though, he didn't seem like that kind of guy.
"James," she said, "Think I could head out early?" She scanned the shop but she knew there wasn't really anyone there apart from her and James, she couldn't hear or smell anyone else there. She needed to see it though, a little human part of her she couldn't escape, not even on a full moon.
He frowned at her, scanning the shop himself and then pausing for a moment. He eventually shook his head, a small almost evil smile. "Nah, interested in the date at all though?"
Yeah, that was why she'd thought against asking before she'd said a word. He wanted a date with her and the last thing she wanted was to be out having dinner with a pimple covered guy who was quite obviously younger than her. He looked hardly sixteen and his voice hadn't even broken properly, he squeaked as he talled, like an odd sounding mouse. She flipped him off and turned away from him, watching the door that she was dying to walk through.
Feeling a pull on her fingers, she looked down at her left hand to see a light covering of fur and one joint looking as if it was missing because of shortened fingers. Kiana growled under her breath and fixed it, stretching her fingers out and smiling at her smooth, unevenly sun-tanned skin. It felt like her ear twitched as the door opened and a customer walked it. She did another check of her hand, hoped that she hadn't started growing a beard or something stupid like that and smiled at the woman who'd walked in. It was going to be a long afternoon and a long night. | [atrb=width,100] words ,

Eden had been enjoying herself, she was able to step away from all the training and just relax a bit. She had a good sixth sense for certain things, and this day would be like no other that was for sure. She protected the supernatural, did what she had to for them. And yet she had never met someone who was not human. But she was rather happy and figured tonight would be a different story. She was humming enjoying the day as she grinned more to herself then anything. She had just arrived in town in her beautiful car.
It was a cherry red convertible and it was her baby, the only thing she had left from her father. Since he had passed on a few years ago, getting out as she ran her finger tips against the beautiful vehicle. Looking at her baby as she slowly looked up, something about this place seemed much different. She had only passed through her last time, because she had business that did not take her here. So this place was rather interesting to her, and she smiled a little bit. It looked like a nice place to be at for now.
Eden may have been young but she wasn't foolish, she sensed something was up so she began to feel herself being lead to one place in front of her. And narrowed her eyes a little bit, she was glad that she could do things most could not, she came from money thought you couldn't tell except perhaps her car. That was the only friend she had in her world, since her parents were no more. But she was having a good time, and she stopped for a moment. Looking around at the town for a second, she smiled happily.
It was nice to see men, women and children. She had seen some crazy stuff in her short life that was not for everyone's eyes and constitution. She noticed it was getting rather late so she just shrugged her shoulders a bit. So she continued forward to go into the business in front of her. She opened up the door as a little bell rang. She was dressed in a black t-shirt and black jeans with black army type boots. Looking around she caught the tail end of a conversation the girl had with who she thought was her boss.
Removing her glasses from her face, she smiled a bit and tucked her sun glasses on her shirt. Walking up to the girl and the guy, she looked at both of them for a second and silently sighed. Unsure what was up with this place, but she sensed something was here. Perhaps she was just overly tired. But she caught eyes looking at her and was unsure what that was all about. She was far from a threat to any of these people, Eden just silently sighed and shrugged her shoulders a little bit. Enjoying what she could.
"Hello" She said in a friendly tone.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g79/Juliart/background_black.jpg');,true][cs=2] L E A D S T O N O W H E R E | [atrb=width,240] The night air that drifted in from the open door was a familiar smell. It was different to what Kiana had known most of her life, different to the smells of her childhood but she'd been in this area, working in this fruit shop long enough to get used to the new scents. Mixed with the citrus of the oranges and the sweetness of the strawberries was the woody smell of the forest hundreds of kilometres away, the oil and metal from the cars, smoke from fires warming houses, the faint smell of pollution in the air that she knew was mild compared to cities. She closed her eyes for a moment and enjoyed the array of scents before opening them again and pulling her concentration away from them.
Kiana found herself surprised by the woman walking into the store. It was her clothing that seemed to stand out, dark top, jeans and boots. The people who usually came into the store were either in business wear or just casual, she saw a lot of bright coloured sweaters, scarves, suits and with the fact that it wasn't currently snowing, she saw a lot of skate shoes, sneakers and ballet flats. She had seen people in the store with black shirts and jeans before though, maybe she was feeling off about the whole outfit because it reminded her so much of the Hunter that had almost killed her only really a year ago. She shook her head slightly as if trying to get rid of her own paranoia that always got worse when it was a full moon.
As the women walked over to her and James, James looked over and mouthed 'she's your customer' with an almost overly polite smile. "Hi, can I help you?" Kiana asked the woman.
Something else stood out about the woman, the fact that Kiana had never actually seen her before. In the fruit shop, they usually just had regular customers who they'd see weekly or so when they did there regular grocery shopping. She absently scratched her arm, slightly itching from the fur wanting to grow. It wasn't a bad thing for someone new to come into the shop though, it was more business and it wasn't against the law for visitors to come to the town. She was just being paranoid, little things bugging her. She wasn't usually like this, it had to be the full moon.
"Visiting the town?" she asked, more to try and stop her silly paranoia than anything else. She could always close her eyes and just breathe to try and calm herself down but she was pretty sure she'd look odd if she did that. | [atrb=width,100] words ,

“How about that place?” Yukki said, motioning to the fruit and vegetable store up ahead. Sara glanced over where he was pointing. The shop looked well kept. “Sure. Lets give it a shot” She pulled her new Mini Cooper S into a parking spot near the shop and turned the car off. “No, leave it on. I want to try out the sound system” Sara turned her head and stared at him. “You're not coming in?” “No way! Shopping's your thing.” He replied, exiting the passenger side to walk around to the drivers side. Sara giggled and sighed. She got out of the car and he slid in. “Okay. I'll be back in a few minutes. Honk the horn if you need me” “Right” He said, closing the door.
It was still cool, but the rain and wind had subsided. She still wore her favorite, well worn, blue jeans, but instead of a sweater she had a black long sleeved button down shirt with a pink tee underneath. She wondered if she subconsciously had a thing for the color pink. She'd worn something pink every day since her arrival in England. And thinking back, she did so back in the states also. Even 10 years later, she was still disoriented with the whole Vampire thing. She'd changed. She didn't want to admit it, but she kept noticing little things from time to time that she didn't do before. They always caught her off guard.
Sarah walked into the shop. The sound of the bell on the door announced her arrival. She glanced quickly around to take in her surroundings. Something she did whenever she entered an unknown place. She took account of any exits, items she could use as weapons, but most importantly, who was in the place. There were three persons there. Each with their unique aura. Her hearing confirmed there were just 3 hearts beating. Two looked up at the sound of her entry. These would be the employees. She inhaled next. Not deep enough to give her away, but enough to analyze the people there. There were two humans... and a werewolf. She looked at each person. Her eyes stopping ever so briefly on each one. Only the werewolf would notice this if he\she was looking directly at her. She immediately ruled out the teenage male. Lycans did not suffer acne. Their advanced healing made that impossible. That left the woman and the teen behind the counter. The patron was human. Nothing remarkable. The teen behind the counter, on the other hand had the quicker, at rest, heart rate. It was a hint, but could still be either one.
She continued walking, glancing left and right at the produce.

Eden looked around at the produce to decide what she wanted, Eden had that way about her where she stood out. She always stood out, that was how she was. Her grey eyes noticed someone else that had just come in, smiling a little bit she was rather curious what was up there. But she just shrugged it off. This whole thing was very strange, but she did not mind it. Like water off a ducks back. Least that was what she thought the saying was, but could not really remember that to much. Eden's smile never seemed to fade.
But then she watched how the girl was, scratching her arms which was a classic sign of what she was. She tilted her head to the side a little bit, and if she was what she thought she was. She was in danger of being found out, and that is not something she would allow. So rubbing the back of her neck, she was thinking quickly how to get her out of here. Or perhaps the way of her thinking was faulty today. But that had not been the case, since she was well prepared for this kind of thing.
"I will have a dozen of the apples, and I also need a tour guide. I am not exactly just passing by. And would like someone who knows the area, since this place have many mysterious I can feel that. I was drawn here as strangely as that may seem or sound" She said with a kind smile on her face. Trying her hardest to get her to come with her, to talk and try to relax. It always amazed her how some people could be clueless as to what is happening but deep down only time would tell.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g79/Juliart/background_black.jpg');,true][cs=2] L E A D S T O N O W H E R E | [atrb=width,240] Kiana looked up as the door to the shop opened again. She couldn't help but frown at the person who walked in, pale skinned and too graceful for her own good. As Kiana caught the scent of the new customer, she fought back a growl. Her natural reaction was to throw the vampire out of the shop, mostly caused by her own bad experiences with the species but there was also the instinctual hate there that she'd never understood. She didn't make any move towards the vampire though, she got rid of her frown and made herself just concentrate on the human in front of her. If the vamp stayed away from Kiana, whatever it was doing here, there would be no reason to cause any sort of scene.
She felt a small prick of pain on her tongue and she just sighed silently, reversing the shift that her teeth had decided to start and running her tongue over them as if that'd keep them as human teeth. Things seemed to be going great for her on the night that she had wanted to be quiet so she could get through her work shift quietly, first a woman in clothes that made her look like the Hunters Kiana had run into and next a fucking vampire. It was turning out so bad she was expecting her boss to turn up and fire her then her pack to kick her out. She was just hating her luck so far, she still had hours before she could get out and shift and it was going to be a long few hours.
"The apples are over there," Kiana said, pointing to near the front of the shop. The customers got the fruit, it wasn't Kiana's job to get it for them. It also wasn't hard to find the apples, the woman would have walked straight past them when she'd come into the shop, they were practically positioned to be on show for those walking past the store window. "You might be better finding someone else for that, isn't my job and I'm still relatively new to town so I wouldn't be the best tour guide for you. If by mysterious you mean haunted houses or something like that, you'll be disappointed. If you're a history freak looking for some mystery in the town's past, there's a small museum a few streets away. Maybe someone at the museum might be willing to give you a tour."
Kiana just couldn't understand why she'd be the one to be asked to give a tour, just because she was working at the fruit shop didn't mean she automatically knew a lot about the town. She was still new to the town, not that there was much to learn about it though, it was uninteresting apart from the thicker population of supernaturals and she highly doubted the woman in front of her knew anything. Still, the dark clothing made her think of a Hunter. That just made her even less enthusiastic to give a tour of the town. Hoping the woman would just buy something and move on, Kiana looked over at the vampire again. | [atrb=width,100] words ,

[sorry. know u're not done writing yet but have nothing better to do. I'll make changes when u post.]
Sara noticed the teen behind the counter frown when she walked in. Could she be the lycan? It was hard to tell with the two so close together. Maybe I should go, but... I don't know of any other markets. What if this is the only one in town? Sara was thinking before she looked down and saw a stack of hand-baskets. She stopped and stared at them for a moment. She listened to the conversation between the two women then made her decision and picked one up and started to fill it with various vegetables. She also heard the boy mumble to himself about how hot all the girls were and some vulgar things he didn't know she could hear. She felt a little sorry for the girl behind the counter if she was indeed the Lycan. Having to put up with it. If it was the other female, she wondered if it would get a reaction out of her. She glanced at them again. Her brother had nothing to eat at the flat. Eating out was an option, but they really should be careful with their spending.
She filled her basket with what she needed, then filled a second basket. She stopped shopping. The pimple faced male hadn't taken his eyes off her since she entered the store. She was sure he was just human. His heart rate had increased steadily. She was sure of what he was thinking about. Damn teenage boys and their hormones! Didn't the idiot know that if she wasn't a vegetarian he'd probably be tonight's freekin' meal? She shook her head. Lets get this over with. Either she's going to let me purchase these or not. There was no secret to the way most lycans felt about vampires.
Sara turned around smoothly, ignoring the gawking kid. She made her way to the register.
