Thalia entered the pub, hoping that it was moderately empty. She sighed in relief when it was. This would make things easier. There were only a few people getting drunk on this gloomy morning. It had been raining for a few days. Thalia ordered a pint and began the process of waiting.
The girl she met a few days ago should be here by now. What was her name...? Sara! She was a pretty peculiar woman. And pretty sexy, too. I wonder if she's into girls, she thought as the waitress brought her pint over. Taking a sip, she thought of her lovely features and her beautiful hair. Can a vampire drink another's blood? her Vampire side thought. I wonder if her blood would be sweet...
Growling, she shook her head to clear out those thoughts. That was stupid. She was a Hunter, first and foremost! She should be trying to kill the chick, not daydream about getting a drink from her. Maybe she won't come. Maybe she isn't coming. That would be a relief.

Sara watched from across the parking lot as Thalia entered the pub. The crisp morning air of England wasn't a hell of allot different than back in the states. Japan was a whole different story. That again. She shrugged at herself. As much as she wanted to forget that place, she couldn't. She grew up there. Nothing would change that. Even if she could never set foot there again. She felt the sadness at first, but that never lasted long. It always turned to anger after. She sighed, and pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind. She arranged this meeting with Thalia when they met at the Pub Ator had taken her to. Meeting her with a chip on her shoulder could cause trouble. She sighed again. She shouldn't have been surprised to see another vampire. But Thalia was different somehow. She got a weird vibe from her. She couldn't put her finger on it. Something was different about this one. Or maybe it was just the fact that they lived so close. They would have to talk about how to co-exist within the same hunting grounds. A slip by one of them could be trouble for the other. Yes, that had to be it. She was worried about that too.... but still...
Sara crossed the parking area and entered the Pub. She was relieved at the lack of patrons. Her eyes swept the room and she quickly found Thalia at the bar. Sara removed her olive green full length rain coat. She preferred it to an umbrella. It kept her hands free, and blood could be easily rinsed off. The olive drab color helped her be stealthy and blend into shadows and wooded areas. She hung the dripping coat on the hook by the front door. She ran a hand through her hair, shaking it out. The hood of the coat was never a friend of Hair styles.
She wasn't dressed up or anything. Plain blue jeans and a light blue sweater. Blue topaz earrings adorned her ears to match. Black swayed leather quarter boots on her feet. The breeze that came in the door surely alerted Thalia to her arrival. She walked to the bar. "Hey" She greeted with a smile. "Glad you could make it"
The bartender walked over to her and she ordered a pint, even though beer wasn't her favorite.

Thalia finished her pint and stared at the bar, noting each individual wood grain. She reveled the fact that her senses were enhanced, even if she turned into the very thing she hated. She leaned an arm on the bar and began to examine her shirt. Immediately she could tell the blue silk was faux, but she didn't mind. It went well with her bootcut jeans and black heels. Her favorite part of the outfit was her black coat. It looked like it was straight out of an anime, which she loved watching in her spare time. A smile came across her lips as she remember when she and her sisters would stay up all night just to watch anime on the computer.
A breeze from the side told her that someone else had entered the establishment, but she didn't need to look. Along with the breeze came the familiar scent of Sara. “Hey. Glad you could make it.” Her hazel eyes looked the vampire over. Sara was dressed casually. She caught sight of the topaz earrings that matched a light blue sweater. Thalia wanted to know where she got them from, but remembered that this was a meeting of some sort, so she had to compose herself. She sat up a little straighter than normal and fixed her shirt.
Nodding to Sara in acknowledgment, she ordered another pint as the girl ordered hers. “So why did you call me here?” She began to twist the angel wing ring on her left middle finger. She was never good at talking, especially with a vampire. The last time she spoke with one was to get help controlling her bloodlust. The demon was so sarcastic with her she almost tore his throat out. If she doesn't have anything good to say, her Hunter side thought, I might just do that. The bartender came back with their pints and Thalia took a few droughts before setting it down on the coaster and running a hand through her red hair.

Sara studied Thalia as she ordered herself another pint. The red hair and hazel eyes made Thalia truly stunning. It was a total contrast to her Japanese stereotype of dark hair and eyes. A pang of jealousy hit her, but she pushed it away. Thalia's outfit was also unique. Like something out of her collection of manga novels or an anime movie. She loved it. She'd have to ask where Thalia got them. Especially the coat. It was to die for. The outfit was so cute! She looked away at the bar tender that brought their drinks. There would be time for girl talk later.
Thalia asked what why she asked to meet her. Sara studied Thalia for a split second more, watching her play with her ring. So.. Thalia was as nervous as she was. Thats a good sign
Sara looked about. “Not here.” She said, standing smoothly, drink in hand. She left money on the counter and walked towards the back of the bar to one of the more secluded booths. Sitting, she waited for Thalia to take her seat, then leaned in, her eyes on Thalia's hazel ones, and whispered, ever so softly. “We're the only two of our kind here in this town that I know of. We should talk so we don't step on each other's toes.” Only another vampire or other supernatural being would be able to pick up on their conversation, and to her knowledge where were no others in the pub at the time. Sara looked down at her drink. She swished it around in her mug. “What are your intentions?” She finished, looking up again.
Sara couldn't tell yet if Thalia was a vegetarian like her, or drank human blood. She was able to tell in the past by scent. Today she wasn't sure. She wondered why.

"Not here," Sara said to her. Thalia rose gracefully and followed her to the back of the pub. They sat down in one of the secluded booths. Thalia knew that there weren't any supernatural creatures around, but having humans eavesdropping on there conversation was definitely frowned upon.
“We're the only two of our kind here in this town that I know of. We should talk so we don't step on each other's toes.” Thalia nodded in agreement. Wouldn't want another vampire in her hunting grounds, after all. Although she did stick to people who wouldn't be missed, like the homeless. Blood was blood, no matter where it came from. “What are your intentions?” Sara asked.
This made the former Hunter's eyes widen slightly. “My intentions?” she repeated, clearly offended but trying to keep her voice low. “HA! If anything, it would be to hunt your kind into extinction!” Fuming, she crossed her arms and looked away. She makes it sound like I'm intruding or something, she thought to herself. Her right leg bounced up and down, making her heels click each time.
The silence only lasted a few seconds before she caught herself. She was a vampire after all, but that didn't mean she couldn't take them down. If anything, it made her more powerful. Thalia made a mental note to start practicing her martial arts again before relaxing her posture. “I'm sorry,” she said, looking down. “I've just...had a bad experience with vampires. Let's just leave it at that.” She sighed and started to twist her ring again. This time she was looking into Sara's eyes. “I'm only here to get away from my past.”

Sara studied Thalia. At first there was nothing, then after she asked as to her intentions, Thalia changed. It was almost like a dr Jekel\Mr Hide moment. The vampire before her which looked so normal and well balanced at the bar the day before suddenly changed. It was so sudden it unnerved her. It'd been along time since anything surprised her. Sara straightened in her seat when Thalia's eyes widened, repeating her words back to her. Why was she getting so angry? Then the next thing to come out of her mouth really threw her for a loop.
Sara's own eye narrowed. Hunt my kind?... into extinction?... What's that supposed to mean?. We're both vampires She almost yelled out. There was something different in the air also. She feeds on humans Somehow when Thalia had gotten angry Sara could now tell. All the more reason to keep track of her.
When Thalia turned away. Sara remained seated, not knowing what to do or say in response that wouldn't possibly lead to a fight. She didn't want to hurt anyone, and being forced to leave town in a hurry after the locals found out what she was would be a disaster. Especially for her brother Yukki.
Then, just as suddenly as it started, it ended. Thalia seemed to calm.
Thalia apologized and looked at her. Sara sighed, also relaxing a bit. How could she stay angry after a revelation like that? It seemed that she and Thalia had much in common after all.
"Well now. I won't ask you for details. But I think we have some common angst in that regard. I've had some bad experiences myself." She confided at a whisper. Sara looked around to see what everyone around them was doing. Other than the glances by the male patrons, who were probably just checking the two babes in the corner booth out, no one looked to have noticed anything amiss. Sara's eyes returned to Thalia's. "And believe it or not, I'm running also." Sara spoke the words but wondered how much she should say. Could she trust Thalia after that little incident? The fact that Thalia was playing with the ring again told Sara that Thalia was also nervous. Sara Sighed again.. What choice did she have? "I didn't mean anything by wanting to know your intentions. I'm just nervous. This is a small town, after all." She thought about what Thalia said about getting away from her past. Could it be that she also had no master? If she was wrong things could really get complicated in a hurry. Sara hesitated for a moment. Then reached out, taking Thalia's hand. "If we're going to make this work, we're going to have to keep each other informed. Keep touch, so to speak. I think the best way to go about this would be if we were to try to be friends." It was Sara's turn to glance away. Before she could stop herself from showing her cards, she blurted out "I don't serve a master." and looked Thalia in the eyes. She knew that statement was unmistakable to any other vampire. She was not in a coven. She was a Rogue.
Sara waited. Had she erred?
