Appearance! :: EYE COLOUR: Dark brown :: HAIR: raven black :: HEIGHT: 4'11'' :: WEIGHT: 90lbs :: TATTOOS & PIERCINGS: a spiral snake on the back of her neck for a tattoo
:: GENERAL APPEARANCE: With short dark black hair and extremely pale skin, Xing is short and thin, yet she has quite a lot of muscle. Her face is rather angular and often seems to look odd with her hair encasing it. She lacks any sort of real bust, but when trying to appear feminine, she will try and fake it. She normally wears a red or black shirt and jeans. She's known to wear leather gloves when hunting but doesn't have them at any other time. Xing has a single ring necklace around her neck.
Personality! :: LIKES: not having to read lips but sign, hunting, contorting her body into odd shape, laughing (though she does it rarely if at all), sweets, and proving herself worthy of things :: DISLIKES: being ignored, when the prey gets away, having to read lips, chocolate (she thinks it is too bitter to be a real sweet), people who don't understand what they are talking about :: HABITS: cracking her knuckles and being self conscious about her hearing :: STRENGTHS: She is extremely silent when on the hunt, she is extremely intelligent when it comes to setting traps and getting what she wants, she is dynamic and can multitask with relative ease :: WEAKNESSES: she cracks easily under pressure, she is deaf and therefore doesn't have her hearing on the hunt and has to rely on other senses, she isn't able to express herself well and often resorts to staying quiet in all instances, she worries quite a lot but doesn't want to show it
:: OVERALL PERSONALITY: Quiet and stoic, Xing can appear quite cold around just about everyone. She does her work as a huntress without question and works to appear more of a soldier than anything else. Xing lacks any sort of killing lust, yet she believes that the hunters are there to take out the demons in the world which compels her to kill. She doesn't appear to care whetehr she is a man or a woman and prefers to assume neither geneder but actually exist simply as a solider. She appears to have locked whatever rage, hate, and anything else she might have had away inside her mind. Getting closer to her is rather difficult seeing as Xing puts a barrier between her and practically any person she is around without even realizing it. She keeps people at a distance in most instances, yet she is not truly sure as to why she does.
Under this stoic facade, Xing is actually a rather self-conscious teen-aged girl who wants nothing more than to be accepted and appreciated by those that she has come to respect within the hunter community as well as normal civilians. However, under no circumstances will she ever admit to this despite the fact that if one gets close to her, they can start to notice a few of these things about her.
Xing is not really picky about anything and simply takes what is given to her and goes on whether it be orders or weapons. She doesn't seem to hold onto material possessions that much and doesn't even seem really close to the ancient weapon that was left to her Saber. However, she does see it as a tool which she could use against others and preform her work with. Therefore, she does it and goes on.
History! :: MOTHER: Anoki Li ::Relationship with her::: Xing loved her up until her death :: FATHER: Kaito Li ::Relationship with him:: Xing was on good terms with him up until her mother died :: SIBLINGS: none :: SPOUSE: none :: CHILDREN: none :: PETS: A black cat named Xelos
:: HISTORY: Originally born in Shanghai, Xing spent the first two years of her life in the crowded city. Her father worked long hours in business while her mother stayed at home and took care of the baby. After a break-in that startled Anoki, Kaito decided to move the family back near his own family in Japan where they settled in Kyoto for a good few years. After Xing turned two, her parents began to notice that she was not speaking like many children of the age would. After several doctors visits, it was determined that the child was deaf. A sudden stab came to Kaito's pride, and he refused to have a deaf child. Instead, he locked the information away and sent Xing to special tutors in order to make her learn to speak and read lips. It was a rough five years, and Xing would find herself constantly frustrated with her teachers and would throw tantrums in frustration. At the age of seven, Xing was able to speak and read lips, yet it still proved extremely difficult to the young girl, and soon enough, she found it easier to simply remain silent rather than try to convey what she wanted. A year passed, and something seemed to change in Xing. She began to see shapes and figures that she had not before, and it often panicked her when others around her appeared to not even notice them. She'd pull at people's clothes and speak as best she could, yet no one appeared to notice anything.
At the age of nine, the shapes became so clear that Xing could not begin to ignore them. She'd panic on a daily basis, and soon enough, her mother could not take it and beat the child into silence. It was some sort of reality shock that went into Xing in that moment, she began to fear her mother beyond reason and tried her hardest to remain silent in all instances. However, in the end, that proved to be the downfall of it all. One morning while Anoki was taking Xing to her class, the child caught sight of what appeared to be a boy. Yet in another moment, he changed and turned into a wolf instantly charging and making to kill both Xing and her mother. Anoki only caught sight of it as it slashed her throat and killed her then and there. Xing was left with trauma like no other as her mother's corpse rested on her small frame for twenty minutes before the ambulance arrived. Xing stopped speaking all together after that. Her father, however, was enraged that his wife had been killed. Yelling and screaming that it was her fault that his wife had died, Kaito couldn't control himself and even aimed a gun at his child. Xing, who could not hear the words but could feel the rage none the less, was left to sudden tears that caused her father to freeze where he was and break down. There was silence after that. If there had not been silence for Xing before, that was certainly silence after that. Her father became a ghost of his former self and did not go to work but instead became a specter of the small house that they lived in. Xing was left to fend for herself and did not go to school. During that time, she ate very little and said nothing to her father.
Two years after the incident, Xing found herself rather independent. Her father had gone back to whatever work he did, and she had gone back to school. She became the cook, maid, and server to the house, yet she wore no emotion to it and simply saw it as a chore that needed to be done in order to keep going in life. However, one day when she was taking food to her father after a long day of work, Kaito began to speak to his daughter in a way she hadn't heard since that fateful day. His voice was gentle, and he called her 'dear' and 'sweet heart'. Despite the fact that she was overjoyed to hear her father say the words, Xing found herself unable to express herself and simply appeared to nod at them. When her father got frustrated at her not showing any sort of emotion towards the words, he beat her, yet even then, she took it without complaint and decided that it was simply something that she was supposed to receive for some crime that she had done long ago in not being able to protect her mother. Why hadn't she cried out like she had before. Why hadn't she said 'Momma there's something scary there let's get away' or something.. Why could she not save her mother? It...it wasn't fair... and in that moment, Xing allowed a few stray tears to leave her eyes. Seeing his child cry again, Kaito backed off unable to do anything more. He was hurt by himself in that moment. How could he have hurt his child. Yet even after he tried to make amends, he found it impossible. There was a barrier between afther and daughter which could not be penetrated. Xing was independent of it all.
Another year came and went, and Xing found herself at age twelve. She was a thin and pale pre-teen who exhibited none of the usual excitement for her age. Many children that Xing went to school with noted this and stayed away from her as much as possible. Xing was fine with this and made no strive to make friends with anyone. Xing's thirteenth birthday came and went without anyone saying anything. What birthday? What was the point of celebrating one more year of life when at any moment, it could be stripped away from her. However, that year, something of interest did happen.
Xing found that she was beginning to see the creatures far more clear, and one night while she was walking home, the dark haired girl caught sight of a man and a beastly dog creature in an alleyway. Xing repressed the startled emotion that had consumed her for a moment and simply stared watching as the man successfully killed the beast. Xing made no move even as the man turned towards her. When he caught sight of her, the man seemed to tense as though unsure of what to do. "You killed one of them," Xing stated in her rather flat voice. The man seemed to be unable to get past his own panic at being caught, yet after a long few minutes, he finally nodded and confirmed that he had killed a 'werewolf'. She had never seen the lip movements before yet had read them in books and the like. It took her a few tries in order to mouth the word correctly, yet after that, she took it. The man seemed to realize that the girl was deaf and began to speak more with his lips in order for her to understand better. The man asked her to forget what she had seen, yet in that moment, Xing shook her head. "How could I forget the one who killed the demons?" she asked with a calm stare. "The demons who killed my mother." It was then that the man seemed to realize the full extent of the situation. Questions continued, and after that, they both parted ways. However, that was not the last time they would see each other. No. Instead, it was just the beginning.
The man appeared again almost six months after the killing. He appeared as Xing was coming home from school just as she had on the first incident when the man appeared. "I have talked to my superiors, and they want to know more about you," the man stated. With that, Xing simply nodded and led the man home. Xing will never know what the man said to her father, yet after several hours of talk, Xing was allowed to leave with the man. She packed what little she had and went away with the man who eventually named himself as Wei Xao a Hunter who killed the demonic creatures for a living. Xing was surprised, yet she showed no emotion towards it and simply took in the information. After the one-sided talk was over, they both appeared to stay in silence. After a train ride and several hours of car riding, Xing found herself at a building... the Hunters of the East stationed themselves there and worked out of there. Xing learned of the international strive to wipe out the demons without the general public knowing and also learned of a group that was trying to spare those that had done the murders... the Protettore were in their way. Xing would never forgive those who tried to protect criminals. It became ingrained into her as she went through the hunting academy. With a large amount of skill, Xing proved herself to be a powerful huntress and graduated the academy first in her class on top of graduating early. She went to work and has been working as a huntress for a good year now.

:: ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE: Xing stared blankly out the window as the sky darkened and lightened from the clouds moving. Rain was coming. The rumble of thunder in the distance mixed with the light flashing now making for an eloquent show in the sky. However, none of this seemed to faze the dark haired girl who was intentionally watching the show. Rain meant slick ground. Slick ground meant an easier hunting time. However, it also meant a more lethal hunting time. The dark haired huntress seemed to close her eyes a moment and resolved something in her mind. In that moment, she turned away from the window and walked out of the room she had been staying in. It was time for the hunt.
