Watching as she briefly climbed and leaned over the railing, Leonardo set his elbows on the railing as well and leaned just a little not allowing all of his weight to go forwards least the wood not be steady. Brown eyes stared again out on the ocean, as he waited, and when the words finally come, he couldn't help but internally smirk. The sarcasm was unnecessary, but a twinge of his own humor made it better. Was Kevin really a hard name to believe? It was his middle name after all, and the name of Nadia's uncle, his great uncle then, or something like that. "You are correct," he mused easily drawing his fingers through his hair again briefly. "I have horses, not dogs," he smiled reminded of the considerable number of horses that he had bought on a whim back home. Though he didn't ride them as of now, it was nice to have them and have people to take care of them.
As she learned over more to peer in the water, the most absurd thought came to Leonardo to push her over the edge and send her crashing down into the water. Reaching up to his temples with one hand, he massaged one side mentally wondering what the hell was wrong with him. He didn't hate this woman. He wanted information out of her and was playing a game to get it. He was a master at this game as well. Why would he do such a reckless thing? Maybe I need a therapist he mentally sighed at that thought. It had come to mind a few times since the incident with the vampire that had sent him on this crazy mission of sorts. However, he refused it each and ever time. So what if he had nearly died or could have died? He was a Mattias and expected to be fine the next day as it was. He was a Mattias. He was better than the average person. He didn't need any help from anyone. Despite these thoughts that he circled in his head, his heart wretched otherwise making him feel more and more sick.
Shaking his head, he dispelled these thoughts for now. His fingers were about to settle hair again when her quiet leaned in order came causing him to freeze in mid motion and blink. A small smile placed itself on his features as he leaned forwards. "Can I say I enjoy distracting you?" he whispered quietly back a grin upon his features for but a moment before it fell into a simpler smile again. Was he too good at these comments? Did he say too many words? He'd thought on it before but had come to the conclusion that was not the case. She continued on saying that it was her turn and listing a few things. A bachelor's in art, a real-estate agent, and a pro gymnast? Well I know which one is the lie he replied back mentally. He was too sure she wasn't a real-estate agent, but she had already told him that as a truth. The what could be the other lie? The sudden remembered sound of feet on the wood reminded him again of the question he thought upon hearing it. Weren't vampires supposed to be heightened in speed, strength, and agility much like his own species was? Maybe it had been a classic attempt to act human. Either way, it was either the art or the gymnast... and he was leaning towards the gymnast in this case. "A professional gymnast would be interesting but something tells me to doubt that," he replied musically.
As she looked back at him and spoke about no lying, he chuckled mentally scorning her words. Of course he would lie here even in the prospect of a game. As she continued, he understood, and a small subtle smile graced his lips before he turned and started back towards her as she moved into the shade. Leaning forwards drawing his face close to hers again, he stared into her eyes with ease. "I am glad you accept them," he mused back quietly leaning forwards just half an inch from her lips. Pulling away in an instant, he turned taking a spiraled step before turning again and leaning his back against the railing looking at her in the shade. "I enjoy long walks on the beach," he began easily pushing himself off the railing again and slowly walking forwards. "I have been to over a dozen operas and musicals in the last year alone," he smiled lightly at the lie. His work ate up his time, and he preferred to do other things even if he was supposed to be a man of class and attend various more noble gatherings. "And I have a twin named Michael," he finished smiling a little as he was once more close to her again.

Cherette was taken aback by the mans ability to play her as well as he was. The moments where he would lean in toward her, or even get near her, she found her breath caught somewhere in her throat, unable to escape. Then, as soon as he would walk away, a small sigh would escape her lips, reliving her of the built of air flow. She smiled politely as he guessed her lie. She figured she would tell the truth, or what he knew as the truth, with some spins. That was the thing with these games, no one knows the real truth. Her subconscious stared back at her, frowning with her arms crossed. I just asked him for the truth; and yet, here I am lying just as much as he is. I guess I should correct myself before correcting others. she smirked a little remembering her mothers words to her when she was little. She was never one to be into all that religious stuff, but her mom was and she respected that; especially with all the stuff her drunken father put her through before all the drugs came into the picture.
Cherette's smile faded as he leaned in toward her not even an inch away from her lips. Her stomach clenched as she fought the urge to close the distance. cmon now, Cherette, that's not very lady like. her subconscious had a deep scowl on her face disapproving of her thoughts. Cherette blinked following her eyes from his lips up to his eyes, her light blue meeting his chocolatey brown. Just as fast as the moment started it was over. She frowned for a moment silently wanting to kick herself for allowing this man in so far. She shook off the moment and walked back to the railing, this time picking a spot that was well shaded.
Cherette hoisted herself up onto the railing, squealing a little as her hand slipped from the railing causing her to fall back toward the water. She quickly grabbed onto the railing beside her, glancing cautiously down at the water below her before pulling herself back up. "As you can see, not the gymnast. Though, I did do a little when I was younger. " she stated, clearing her throat while wiggling herself around for a moment, getting comfortable on the railing. She grinned at the man taking off her hat and placing her sunglasses in it before dropping them both to the floor of the deck. "Well, you said you do have a lot of vacation time. I'm guessing the twin brother is a lie. How would people be able to handle two of..." she paused for a moment, gesturing a hand up and down toward her component, "well, two of you. That would be too much, I think."
Cherette was glad to have gained a little space from the man as she still fought the urge to give in to the beast inside telling her to let loose with him. She popped her knuckles trying to find some way to keep her occupied and to keep her thoughts from trailing off too far about the man and how much she wanted him. She thought about her fiancée. Well, ex-fiancée. She thought about how happy she was with him and what it felt like before they started dating. That whole relationship was based on lies. She thought of all the times she had come home past midnight from working at he club and him not being there. She remembered the unacceptable excuses he gave for coming home at 4am with his hair a wreck and his shirt untucked.
She ran a hand down her leg for a moment, feeling the soft, cold, silky skin beneath her fingers. She brought her hand back up, crossing it over her bare stomach. She smirked and began her side of the game. "I was born in Russia, I am a gun fanatic, or I hate dogs. But before you answer, what happens when one of us guesses wrong?" she smiled for a moment, taking small pauses between her list of two truths and a lie. She told herself to keep it honest now and she for once was going to listen to her conscience. Her smile faltered slightly as he drew closer toward her. Her stomach still twisted in knots and butterflies choking up her throat. She crossed her legs and began picking at the wood of the railing, keeping her eyes downcast. "You know, I have not been played like this before. It sure is different having a taste of my own medicine." she weakly admitted the smile now gone from her face completely as her lower lip trembled for a brief second with worry as she contemplated why he was playing her so. She thought of what might happen after their game. Would he leave? What was he perusing? Would they become friends? Or more? She struggled with herself for a moment thinking about how hard it was to be in a relationship before and whether or not she would be ready for another one.

Her reactions were consistent, and Leonardo was amused. From the subtle expressions and the quiet sighs, she was a notebook to him, and he was reading page by page. Unless of course it's an act in itself... The thought mentally stunned him for but a second before he continued on. If that was the case, it would never work, though. He was a Mattias, a man of control. He wouldn't give over to a woman especially this particular woman who had information he wanted. No, he would tread calmly, carefully, and coolly as he had before. He would be the master in this. I will he mentally reassured himself once again. I will keep control of this game. He mentally sighed at his own thought, a game within a game within a game. That was how he played was it not? It was difficult, but he was a Mattias. He just had to keep reminding himself of that.
As he had turned and started out towards the railing again, Leonardo could hear Cherette's feet follow after.. Head turned, eyes focused, and he stared calmly at her form as she made to hoist herself up on the rail. The squeal followed by the near slip was enough to cause Leonardo to tense, and his body all but lunged forwards as it seemed she was about to go over the railing. Oh no you don't he mentally growled wishing that his thoughts hadn't spoke the motion onto her. He still needed her for information, damn it. That and it was wrong and tragic to just let someone fall over the side of a pier, of course. As she grabbed the rail and steadied herself, he sighed straightening himself up again. Her words thereafter drew a small hum from him. "You should be more careful, falling from such a height would do no good," he replied back a bit more somberly once more wondering how a vampire could make such a mistake. He of course wouldn't be caught in such a thing, and once more the thought that it was all an act came to mind. If she had fallen, could she not have caught herself another way with enhanced power? If that was the case was she pulling him to worry even for a moment? he had to be more careful.
As she confirmed his guess, Leonardo smiled a little. "I see," he replied watching her small actions with the hat and sunglasses. As she guessed his own sort of lie correctly, he chuckled only to catch her next few statements. Drawing close to her again, he set his lips up to her ear once more. "If I did have a twin, I suppose I would have to prove myself the better one," he mused briefly kissing her cheek briefly before drawing away again easily falling into a circular step between the shade and the riling. "But you are correct again, I am not a twin," he smiled pleasantly. "No competition then," he added laughing softly.
Words rolled off of tongue, and Leonardo took in the next set of truths and lies. However, her statement thereafter caught him off guard. Blinking, he drew a hand up and set it on his chin thoughtfully. Reciting over what she had told him in his mind, he found himself conflicted. He was pretty sure she was born in Russia. He could only imagine she liked guns from the fact that he knew what she worked in. He also assumed she hated dogs because of their connotation with werewolves. All around, he was unsure which she fathomed was the lie. This mixed with the question of what he would do if he was wrong. Slowly, a subtle smile came to the werewolf's features. "If one guesses wrong, the other ...may ask any question, and the other must give a truthful answer," he mused wondering if he was digging a hole for himself in the process.
Shortly after, he drew close once more aware of her subtle reactions to his presence. As her eyes dropped and she began to utter those small words, he couldn't help but believe all that she had said was not a lie. Had he really wrapped her around his finger so easily? This was very useful. "Played? My dear woman..." he replied gently reaching forwards to set his smooth hands on her chin. "This is no game to me," he smiled softly leaning forwards and gently kissing her lips. It was colder than expected, and the kiss itself was short almost because of that. It was a simple kiss, no tongue involved, but innocent in that regard one could suppose. Drawing away in the seconds after, Leonardo allowed his hand to fall to his side a small smile playing on his face. "I would not expect a woman like you to be a gun fanatic," he smiled softly thereafter. "Is that the lie?"

Cherette felt her body grow surprisingly hot as her emotions overwhelmed her. His lips grazing her cheek and moments later followed by a brief kiss. It was warm, soft and surprisingly sweet and gentle. She looked up into his eyes a soft smile playing on his face. So, he's not a twin. Good. She smiled a little before bringing her hands up in front of her. She brought her palms together and began to clap slowly. "Nice try, Kevin, but I actually do love guns, as I do dogs. I have a pet dog named Baya. She's here with me on this trip, but back at the hotel, of course." She paused for a moment, thinking about her dog before continuing. "It may appear weird, but I assume that all of me seems weird to you. I'm not a common vampire. I'm more human than you think. I prefer the smell of animal than human. O positive blood is so... revolting." She shuddered for a moment, scrunching up her nose at the thought of her least favorite blood.
Ever since her change, Cherette had a hard time preying on humans. Even though it was a natural instinct to get hungry and want to feed, she never had the complete urge to slaughter anyone. She had her moments, a few times through out the year when she treated herself to fresh blood; but most of the time she stuck to blood banks or even animals. She wasn't too fond of eating animals either, but no one would miss a deer or two compared to Uncle Bob or Aunt Sally. Cherette always thought that even though she was a Vampire, she didn't have to be like the others. She didn't have to overpower everyone. All she wanted was to get revenge on the man who did this to her. Her willingness to be more human than Vampire seemed to allow her to act as she would have in her human state.
Cherette clenched her jaw tight for a moment, her fangs expanding and cutting into her cheeks as she thought about the night she turned. She had this never ending burning power inside her to hunt down and kill the Alpha. She knew of his whereabouts, but it wasn't the right time to attack. She needed to finish her mission to retrieve the gun before she could do anything else. Her fangs retracted as she silently calmed herself, the anger inside her gently ceasing as the waves slapping against the pier brought out a peace about her. "Well, since you guessed wrong..." she started, jumping down from her perch on the railing. She took a few steps forward.
Standing straight up in front of her competitor, She barely came up above his shoulders. Cherette looked up at him, her blue eyes piercing for a moment and then softening. She placed a hand on his chest, feeling the blood being pumped through his body. She slid a finger between the buttons on his shirt, allowing her cold touch run over a small part of his chest, the hairs teasing her senses. She smiled up at him before continuing her sentence. "Since you guessed wrong, my question for you is; what's your real name?"
That's a stupid question!! You couldn't have asked; how old are you? What's your favorite color? How many people are in your family? Are you married? But, no, you settle on what's your name? Classic, Cherette, classic. She paused for a moment, arguing with herself if that was really the question she was planning on asking. She looked up at him, her hand still on his chest and her finger slightly in his shirt, his warmth comforting to her. She found herself biting her lip again as she ran her thoughts back over what he had said when he kissed her. If he's not playing a game, what are his intentions? She puzzled over whether he was seriously interested or if he was looking for something. She looked into his brown eyes, searching for an answer that she did not have before removing her hand from his chest and taking a step back from him, her eyes down to the floor. "Sorry, I know my hands are... cold." she said quietly, running her other hand over the one that had just been on his chest.

He smiled down at her as she smiled up at him. As she brought her hands brought her hands up and clapped, though, he chuckled. At her first statement, he couldn't help but chuckle. It seemed the trap had turned on him. That was alright, he would play along. As a Mattias he assured himself he could get free with ease. That was what it meant to be a fox, after all. "Quite surprising," he replied keeping his ever present smile. "I shall keep that in mind." he hummed softly as an after thought. Her unexpected explanation of herself drew a brief interest in those brown spheres before Leonardo smirked briefly allowing this twitch of his lips to fade into something more calm again. "I knew that the moment I saw you," he replied back softly. "Your uniqueness is nothing short of heavenly splendor, a breath of fresh air, you see."
The changes in her features caused a brief mental alarm to go off in Leonardo's mind, and for a brief moment he wondered what button he had pressed to cause her to tense and clench. When she had relaxed again and appeared to continue on as if nothing else was wrong, he was only left with more questions than answers. What had she been thinking of, and how had it been triggered? Why was he not a mind reader, damn it all. Some part of Leonardo strangely blamed his father for such things, and he found the dog inside him growling in reproach for such a statement. Mentally sighing an apology, Leonardo knew he had overstepped his grounds with that one even mentally. Father may have done things, but he was certainly not the case of Leonardo not having more insightful powers. He had the sight to catch demeanor and subtle changes which was impressive in its own right, after all.
As she continued on with no apparent problems, he raised an eyebrow to her and offered a pleasant smile allowing her to draw close and even allowing her to touch him, something that he would have otherwise scorned. Her hands were indeed like ice, but he made no sign of flinch or otherwise. The question that reverberated from her lips would have chilled Leonardo's blood if he had not been so heavily focused on keeping himself calm as she was so close brought a blink and a small smile to Leonardo's lips. As she pulled her hand away and looking downwards, he allowed a hum to come to his throat before the brown haired werewolf stepped forwards gently wrapping a hand around her back and leaning forwards as though he was about to kiss her yet again. Instead, he leaned forwards to her ear again softly whispering much more quietly this time to where even those with super hearing would have a harder time hearing his voice. "Since you asked so nicely, I suppose I shall give you my full name. I did not lie to you when I told you I was Kevin, though it is my middle name. I am Leonardo Kevin Mattias," he finished his other hand reaching to take her other hand. "I am sure a gun fanatic such as yourself has heard of the Mattias Guns and Weapons Company of Britain," he spoke calmly. Was he finally getting serious? Was the game over? Leonardo would wait for a reply before determining this.

Damn straight I'm unique Cherette's subconscious swooned in the compliment. She lay there flustered on the ground, staring at Cherette from inside her head, completely lost by the man's words. You. Are. A dumbass. Cherette thought to her mental self on the floor of her head. As the man placed his hand in the small of her back, Cherette expected another kiss as the tall figure leaned in again. Her breath not catching in her throat as much this time, she let out a small sigh as his lips almost touched her ear. She took a deep breath, breathing in the musky scent. It was almost toxic, that scent, but not in a bad way. Cherette remembered the first time she ran into a human with AB negative blood. Her lust for the blood immediately spun out of control and she easily snapped the human's neck all in a matter of seconds. She remembered the struggle to maintain herself around that blood type. She found herself leaning in toward the man's neck to take a slightly deeper breath.
Cherette knew she didn't want to eat him, she liked him too much for that. The smell. It was sweet and musky. She closed her eyes and relished in it for a moment before leaning back a little and taking a fresh breath of the salty air. She listened closely to his words, barely above her auditory recognition. A Mattias! She felt a warm hand caress her own as she looked up into the man's eyes, her own swimming with excitement. "Leonardo. Now that sounds better." She stated quietly, smirking a little at the thought of catching him in his lie of his name. She mentally noted her happiness for his first name not being Kevin.
"But, what's more exciting; you're a Mattias! I am a fan of your company's work. I deal with some of their best weapons myself, having done business with the company before. I have so many customers that ask for specialized weapons spun off from the Mattias Company's own creations. This... This is... oh." Cherette's words flew from her mouth quickly in a rush as her excitement overpowered her. She frowned, realizing that she caught herself revealing the truth, and to a Mattias at that. She knew of the family. They were very well respected. She had never had the pleasure (or pain) of meeting one before and that she used to be thankful for. Now, things seemed different.
She took a step back from Leonardo, making his hand almost slide from her back as she looked up at him, her eyes almost apologetic for lying to him. She bit her tongue ready to defend herself and to prepare herself for what might happen next. She awaited anger. She almost expected pain and yet, she doubted that he would hurt her. Cherette's eyes dropped to her hand with his set on top of hers. The warmth comforted her as her stress seemed to fade. She sighed and looked back into his eyes, waiting for whatever punishment she would get for digging herself in this hole.

Leon was aware of her closeness to his neck, and if he had not been so in check of his own emotions, anxiety would have mastered him. Depictions of vampires going for that artery in specific were common enough, and the last thing he wanted was to let her bite. However, he would keep himself in check and try and keep her in check too. As he pulled back upon finishing his statement, brown eyes locked on blue ones. A small smile came to his features as she noted his name. "My family enjoys shortening my name to Leon or Le," he mused out easily drawing silent as he heard her excited words sputtering out. Check he mentally smirked. Even if he had to reveal himself in the process, he had caught her in the lie, strung her out, but kept her close. It was a little give and take, but in this he found himself coming out the victor in that moment.
As she took a small step back, he watched as she looked downwards for a few seconds before looking back up at him. It was only as she looked back up at him that he drew closer to her again. A small sweeter than sugar smile came to his features. "Even as a weapons fanatic, I would not gave guessed a real-estate agent to deal so closely to my family's," he smiled leaning forwards closer to her again his eyes never once leaving her own even as lips moved closer still. "It is nice to know my eye caught a woman more exciting than a a simple housing agent," he mused his lie out before drawing his lips to hers again kissing her a bit longer than before before slowly breaking the kiss. He would never admit he had all but been following her and still had questions that were all but ready to springboard off his lips then and there. He had already set some cards on the table, it was time to back up a bit and wait before continuing with what he was there for. He would take her excitement and use it to his advantage. He would string his fingers around her heart to the point that every step she took would be on his will, eventually.
Leaning back, he smiled softly. "It certainly gives you a more lovely quality. I enjoy a woman with a gun," he chuckled releasing her completely to take a step back gazing at her a cool expression on his features. "I hope you will forgive me for the bit of deceit, I do connect certain companies in my free time especially between the Mattias corporation and other weapons companies. However, if I went around naming myself as heir to the Mattias Guns and Weapons Corporation, it would draw unnecessary attention, you see." he smiled softly at her bowing his head a little. "Though for you a name is a name..." he smiled at her. Questions still bristled in his mind, but he kept them at bay for now. He would keep up this dance carefully ever still.

Cherette hummed a small pleased response as Leon's lips pressed gently into hers as she leaned into his kiss. Her breath caught short again by the intimate moment. She found herself having to open her eyes as he continued speaking. He enjoys a woman with a gun? That's interesting. It seems as if he's given to no regard that I totally just gave myself away. He's playing again. She crossed her arms infront of her and pouted. "Leon, now why would I hold a lie against you?" She smirked before letting her arms drop to her side for a moment.
Cherette leaned a little closer bringing her hands back up to Leon's chest, leaning into him as she began to speak again, "I just wanted to know the real name of the angel that stood before me, Mattias or not. I must say though, it was quite a shock of your heritage." She stood on her toes, her lips reaching halfway up his jaw. "I do enjoy a man who knows his weapons." She dropped her heels back down to the deck, her cold lips slowly trailing slightly against his facial hair the sensation sending chills up her spine. She took a few steps back placing a finger over her lips and crossing the other arm over her stomach tracing a nail over her ribs, gently.
She paced around him taking larger steps in a circle around Leon. "One, I own a private business on the side; Two, I have two siblings; or Three, I enjoy spending time in the city by myself 'people gazing'." She picked out her three choices carefully, not sure whether or not he would pick up on which was the truths and the lie. "What's a Mattias doing way out here in Spain, anyway? Isn't that a little far for you guys? And how did you luck out on being able to sit back and relax so much?" If there was one thing she knew almost as good as the different brands of guns she sold, it would be the suppliers of the guns. She always did full background checks of the people she bought from. She had her own opinion of the family.
Cherette gave a sly smile as she slowly paced around Leon, checking out his smooth features as she looked over each angle. She remembered the background check on the Mattias family clear as day. It was so clean and yet, so. Busy. It was a decent sized family full of their own problems, but each individual seemed to be making a name for themselves in their own way. She bit her lip, pausing for a moment, a finger still strategically placed over her mouth as she thought for a moment. You really shouldn't get mixed up with that family, Cherette. That's not what you need. It's going to just be a distraction from what your real task is; finding and killing that Alpha. She mentally nodded to her thoughts before looking at Leon, her eyes full of excitement as she scoped out her plan.

Leonardo held little regard for the words that had spilled from Cherette save for the fact that he had, in fact, manage dto catch her in the lie and prove what she was. His responses were probably a bit too relaxed, but considering he had showed very little surprise as it was, it could possible be written off as part of his nature. In fact, in was only after he had reacted accordingly that Leon wondered if he was being too subtle in 'surprise' on the matter. There wasn't much he could do about it now, though, anyways. As she crossed her arms in front of herself and allowed a shift in lip, he smiled. She reminded him of a bird whose feathers had been brushed the wrong way, but rather met with reproach this was met with a small easy smile ever still. The question caught him briefly off guard before a small chuckle escaped from him a tender smile remaining on his visage. "Better to ask for forgiveness either way," he replied back easily allowing a soft roll of his shoulders as though allowing the statement to roll off his shoulders as well.
Now it seemed she was playing with him drawing up close only to saunter back after a few soft words that only served to amuse him. "The question is why you did not accept it as Kevin," he chuckled drawing closer to her to look her deep in the eyes. "An intuitive mind behind that pretty face is obvious, but such thoughts are generally not common among those I talk to..." he continued reaching down to set a hand on her face again easily using his thumb to caress her cheek even as she drew up a finger to her lips and wrapped the other arm around herself. Slowly allowing his fingers to fall back to his side, Leonardo offered a small nod to his words as though to heighten their meaning. As she began to pace around him, he slid on his heels easily following her motions as the game seemed afoot again. Now was the last time to allow his back to be a possible target. He doubted it, but some part of him remained paranoid now.
As the game was set to continue, he chuckled. Was it her turn again? He had just answered her question, so theoretically it was his. Did it really matter the order? At this point in the game, not as much even as a small amount of OCD demanded otherwise. It was silly when there was obviously more to the game now. He had to be more careful, more ready, and more intuitive than he had been already. "Hmmm," he hummed softly bringing a hand to her chin and looking thoughtful a small smile coming to his features. "What private business I wonder," he mused a small smirk coming to his features as he was sure that one was true now. "...I imagine it is spending time in the city people watching," he chuckled after a moment tilting his head to one side and drawing a few fingers through his own hair.
The question that followed from her lips drew a small sweet smile. "I recently finished making preparations for some of the minor stores to receive shipments here of a new line of handgun here." he lied smoothly. "As for relaxation, that is my secret," he chuckled bemused. "How about this set? One, I have one niece. Two, my favorite play is Cat on a Hot Tin Roof by Tennessee Williams. Three, I drink tea three times a day." he continued a small subtle smile coming to his features.

Cherette shrugged as Leon asked her about her opinion about his name. "Kevin just didn't seem like you. You just don't look like a Kevin. Plus all the Kevin's that I met have just been complete assholes and you are far from that, or so I can tell." She stooped down and picked up her hat, placing her sunglasses on her nose and pushing her hat down on her head pulling it slightly over her eyes as she looked down at her feet for a moment. "That seems.. Interesting... To say the least." The lie rolled off her lips as she tried to think about businesses in Spain. She reflected back when she was in Russia, trying to remember if she heard or saw a mention of a new gun coming out from the Mattias Gun Company.
"Well, Mr. Mattias, I own my own business dealing with weapons. Not a big deal. I figured you would have known about it. I figured you would have remembered the top dealerships your company does business with." She closed her eyes for a moment thinking about her business again. She hummed to herself as she turned and walked back out onto the boardwalk, the hot sun sending chills on her slightly burnt skin. She breathed in the fresh air, the scent of humans, fish and different foods now setting in. She smirked as she found the hint of the sweet musky smell in the midst of the flood of scents. curse this heightened sense of smell
Cherette thought of the three things Leon listed as she contemplated picking the lie in the stream of choices. "I would say your choice in a favorite play, but I have heard that one mentioned before. Tragic. But I'm guessing the tea. That's a lot of tea for one man. I do fancy a cup myself, but not three times a day." she bit her lip thinking about different types of tea. why am I so distracted? Really? Tea? She leaned against the railing, the wind pushing the front of her hat and hair away from her face.
Cherette frowned, her forehead creasing as she watched the little fish swim near the pole expanding from the dock beneath her. What she would give to go swimming right now. The water looked cool and refreshing. She bit her lip as her slightly chapped lips reminded her that she was parched. "I was almost married, I still have a never ending burn for art and the appreciation of it, or I really want today to end." she knew this one would be far too easy. Questions about the man swam in her head as she waited patiently for answers. She knew that after a few moments that she would get impatient and begin to fire questions away, expecting lies but at least some form of an answer to put her curiosity to rest.

As she explained that the name he had given hadn't suited him, Leonardo couldn't help but chuckle a little. "I am not one who stoops so low," he replied smiling a little back at her as he watched her replace the sunglasses and hat on her person again. Briefly he wondered how much the sun actually bothered her. Certainly she had been putting on sunscreen when he had met her, but of the stories that he had haphazardly heard here and there, he would have expected her to exhibit more of a burn or more of an expression upon being burned. Then again, she had stated she wasn't the normal vampire, so maybe that was part of it. Either that or she is a much better deceiver than I have given her credit for," he mentally mused.
Cherette's small almost dismissal of his explanation as to why he was there was enough to let Leonardo move forwards conversation wise. Had she questioned what gun and or what stores, he would have had to make something up rather quickly, not that he couldn't, of course. As she explained what she did, a small subtle smile came to Leonardo's features. He knew it. She had spoken it for herself, and now he had all but won the game. Check his mind mused out again. "I am aware of several of those we do business with," he mused out easily. "Though those we do business with often do other forms of business between each other expanding the gun range so to speak," he chuckled. "Keeping track is work for others." Following after her as she started down the board walk, Leonardo allowed his eyes to gaze over the wood again staring off to catch sight of the various people farther down as the full world came back to him.
As she made her guess, Leonardo laughed. "Actually I do drink tea three times a day, normally with the major three meals," he mused out glancing sideways at her. "Earl Grey is one of my favorites though I suppose various Green teas are nice during different parts of the day," he continued before bringing a hand to his chin and looking thoughtful for but a moment before glancing back towards her. "I suppose that means you owe me one truthful answer..." he smiled thinking over what he wanted to ask as she listed off a few truths of her own. Looking over to her as she looked down at the waters below, he drew up to her again and leaned on the railing gazing downwards. "I would hope you would not want this day to end... though it sounds sad to be only almost married..." he stopped briefly gazing sideways and smiling. "Though I suppose it is better for me in the long run," he hummed out a coy smile coming to his features. "You do not wish for this day to be over do you?" he asked clearly challenging her statement before looking back downwards again.
Debating what he should ask, Leonardo found himself caught in desires. There was clearly several questions that he needed to ask, but it was too soon for that. It had been less than a few hours since they had met, and there was still a chance for adverse actions if he didn't play the cards right. Instead, he settled on a different question. Reaching forwards, he made to draw his fingers through her hair briefly. "Tell me, what is your fantasy date?" he mused out after a moment allowing his face to fall into a serious but amused expression. Why was he drawing her even closer? It was simple, he would secure his holdings. That was what he told himself, anyways.

Cherette listened to Leon's explanation of drinking tea. Yes, she had guessed wrong. He seemed almost like an English man, talking about how he fancied his tea and what type he cared to drink. She was a tea person herself, but she wouldn't be able to find it in herself to drink it three times a day. She shrugged, "to each their own I guess." She paused her gaze in the waters as he answered each of her truths. He guessed the right one and yet he paused on her truth about marriage. "It makes it better for you? What're you implying? And no, I honestly do not wish this day to an end." She looked up at him for a moment flashing a shy smile.
She looked back down the beach seeing the outline of her hotel. Her skin was hot now, the sun beginning to burn it red. Cherette frowned as she felt the boardwalk get hotter and as the pain of the burns began to set in more. It made her remember the time that her legs were lit on fire as a torturing mechanism. What a horrid reflection that was. She was torn from her morbid thoughts as Leon produced his question for her. What is your fantasy date? She paused for a moment, contemplating and reflecting on what her real fantasy date would be. "A long walk on the beach with a partner, talking about work, guns and playing guessing games." She looked up to spark a wink at the man beside her before clearing her throat.
"To be brutally honest, I never really have thought about my ideal date. I guess it would include a nice relaxed dinner, bottle of wine, a shared dessert and maybe a walk on the beach; or location permitting, sitting on the back porch of a cabin somewhere in the mountains discussing life and the goods while watching the sun set." Cherette moaned a little, closing her eyes as she thought of the pleasure of such date. "I find it interesting that you ask such a thing, considering your previous statement," she said, reflecting back only moments before.
What was happening? Cherette felt like she had let herself fall to far into Leon's arms, allowing herself to be in harms way if this man were there to hurt her. She found herself slightly amused that she let herself trust this man so quickly with her precious life. After all, he wasn't just any man; he was a werewolf. She thought for a moment about the weight and height advantage he had on her. She thought of the ways she could defend herself, her last thought settling on running. If there was one thing she liked about being a vampire, it would be running. She always loved doing it and it almost heightened her desire to do so, seeing as humans wouldn't be able to see her anyway.
She found herself more relaxed than she had been around Leon, even thinking if ways she could escape and the possibilities of him attacking her. She found herself slightly comforted and yet worried about the question he asked and what she felt he was implying. She wondered briefly if he used his sly, smooth talking ways on all the women. She but her lip, scolding herself for being stupid. why would someone like him be interested in someone like me? she thought, her confidence level dropping for a moment. Finding herself slouching and her smile quickly fading, she squared her shoulders and put on a serious face refreshing herself before she put on a pearly smile. "Do you like swimming, Leon?"

As she repeated his statement and asked what he was implying, Leonardo smiled sweetly back at her drawing close once more as if he were about to kiss her again. However, instead, he simply stared into her eyes and reflected a cool smile upon his lips. "Because if you were married, I would have to dismember my advances as any gentleman would," he replied. Blue eyes left brown ones, and as Cherette looked back down the beach, Leonardo did as well. However, his ears remained on her taking in each word as it was uttered. However, as he realized what she was implying, Leon looked back towards her catching the wink and humming softly to himself before it melded into an easy chuckle. "Is that so?" he mused back to her.
Shortly after, Cher began to explain she'd never really thought of it. Each word was committed to memory, yet it seemed simple. He had expected something flashy and extravagant as many women described, yet she had managed to unwittingly defeat his pretenses yet again. Yet who even shares a dessert now a days? Leonardo mentally sweat dropped. If he had been in an anime, his face might have even revealed it a bit more. However, this was the real world, and he was a Mattias and master of disguise or so he assured himself. "I see," he replied back a simple curvature coming to his features. As she commented on his statement, Leonardo chuckled. "Is it hard to guess my interest in your splendor?" he asked back looking into her eyes once more. "I had hoped it would be apparent now that your graces have entwined my heart," he continued briefly setting a hand on his chest and drawing a few fingers downwards allowing them to drop to his side shortly after.
However, even as he said these things, her posture and features seemed to slump casing a startled amount of alarm to ring out in the back of his mind. Had he stepped too far? In another moment, she seemed to have regained herself again, but this only drew more alarm. What had she just thought of? He had come on too strong, indeed. God damn it Leonardo he mentally swore at himself the smile never leaving his face despite the mental backlash. He would have to be more careful, more subtle, and he was sure it would work. He would keep control of this situation till he had all of his answers and her heart in his hands. In that moment, Leonardo stopped briefly realizing his own thoughts betrayed him. He wanted her heart, but it was for business reasons, yes. How foolish of me to slip he mentally hissed at himself resisting the urge to sigh at himself. This was still business and a personal mission. He would not forget that that above all else came first.
The comment on swimming snapped him back into reality, and for a few seconds, Leonardo was silent. "I have not been swimming in some time," he replied not quite answering her question as he looked out towards the sea water. "Especially in the sea.." he murmured after a moment. "It is a fare sport, I suppose... why?" he asked gazing back to her after a moment.

Cherette smiled as she listened to Leon's response. Was he really that taken by her, or was he just using her for something? She smiled sweetly, smitten by the words and gesture. "Why, Leon, you flatter me." She placed her hand on his arm, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I guess I just assumed.. I don't know, I guess I assumed you were... It's stupid really, forget it." She shrugged off her harsh thoughts of the man she was quickly falling for toying with her. "I just wonder, you see, I am a Vampire, and you're, well, a werewolf, the one thing that can... cut my time short. I should really be brutally honest with you about my own heart, hidden somewhere in the depths of of insides." She bit her lip, contemplating whether or not she should really continue the path she was going down.
She shook her head before removing her hand from Leon's arm. "Le, I have not been this thrilled to be around another being before. You're.. uh.. how should I put it, you're really pulling on the strings." She wrapped her arms around herself, pushing the butterflies down deep inside her. You really shouldn't be nervous, he's just a boy she reassured herself. She then turned to stand on her toes again, leaning in toward his ear, whispering, "Thank you for being honest. I really cannot ask for more of a person and I respect that." She planted a brief kiss on his cheek before replacing the rest of her feet on the hot wood.
Cherette revisited Leon's reply about swimming. She unwrapped her arms from herself and reached up, slowly undoing the top button on his shirt. "Change that with me?" She grinned, slowly climbing up the railing, one post at a time, pausing once she got up to the top, waving a little from side to side as she tried to balance at the height she was at. She looked down at the deep water beneath her, the waves splashing hard. She turned a little, smiling down at the man, offering her hand to him.

Leonardo's smile heightened a tad as Cherette replied and made the small gesture. As she went on to explain that she had been assuming something, Leon found his thoughts confirmed. He had stepped in a bit too much and made her feel as though he was lying. Back up next time Leon he mentally told himself. As she told him to forget it, the werewolf smiled simply. "Forgotten," he mused in response. However, it seemed her explanation would continue in a different manner. Ah, she was going into species statements now. She's threatened by that.. Leon frowned. Though he did have force and power, that didn't mean he would use it. "I see..." he replied calmly feeling her hand slide away from his arm shortly after. As she continued, Leonardo couldn't believe his ears. Somewhere deep inside, something smirked, but a calm smile remained on his features even as she wrapped her arms around herself You really have her on that hook he mused to himself. Why this was so astounding when he had reeled in many this way, Leonardo could only assume it was because of the heightened situation. She should have been more on guard. Heh, oh well, lucky for him then.
As she whispered about honesty, Leonardo couldn't help but mentally laugh. There was still so much hidden in honesty. Like the stories of the Seelie Fae, Leonardo could twist the hell out of truth or so he was sure of his skill in being able to do so. He not only adapted to lies but could use and abuse information for his own plans. That was the signature of his essence as a Mattias was it not? A fox and a noble lion. The cheek kiss was unexpected, yet he didn't react negatively in the least and instead, a small chuckle escaped from the werewolf. "Your welcome," he replied briefly before drawing close to her face again. "But I should be thanking you for allowing me in your presence, mio caro* Cherette ," (*my dear) he replied back softly before regaining his stance again. Why he had chosen to add in a small phrase of Italian, Leonardo did not know. However, he supposed it was his native language, after all, and it was one of the 'romance languages' as it was.
He was surprised by her sudden motions and haphazardly reached up to the button that had been undone in less than a second. However, she climbed the actual railing, he tensed eyes growing. It was true that they could probably both make the jump off the pier, but the thought of being caught in a rip tide below was not the most pleasant thing in the world not to mention how much fear they could elicit if someone saw. As she offered a hand, he reached to take it but did not climb the posts. "How about we walk down the beach first?" he asked smoothly as he looked up at her. "I would not suggest jumping from the pier of all places."
